Jana looked up at him, a terrified look on her face. "Are you going to look more?" She asked quietly as she stood up.

He looked at her and then Nikki and then back at Jana. "We’re going to try." He said softly.

"Try? I don’t get it." Jana replied looking at him weird.

"Well, we found Trenton that was the main goal. If we can’t find Shawn we can’t keep on looking for him, plus we have no idea where he could be or anything we’re completely in the dark with his whereabouts."

Jana sighed heavily as she sat down and put her head in her hands rubbing her temples.

"So what if you don’t find him?" Nikki asked then Jana looked up at him.

"Well, then we just don’t find him and he is going to be out there. But there are posters with his face on them so if he is seen we’ll be notified."

"But he kidnapped Trenton that’s a crime, I don’t get why you aren’t trying harder." Nikki said putting her hand on her hip.

Officer Martin looked at Nikki and then looked at Jana. "I’m sorry. But I explained everything as best as I can." He said and then turned around and walked out of the room.

"I don’t get it, it doesn’t seem right." Nikki said as she walked over to sit by Jana.

"I know."

"Momma?"

Jana looked at Trenton and smiled. "Yeah sweetie?"

"Can we go home now?"

Jana smiled as she got up and picked him up. "Yeah baby let’s go home." She said as Nikki picked up Alyssa and they walked out of the room and then out of the police station to the car.

Quietly Nick walked into the house, trying to make his way upstairs in the dark without waking anyone up in the process. He finally got to the stop of the stairs, stubbing his toe and running into a few walls along the way.

Nick stopped briefly by Trenton’s room and peaked in to him sleeping in his bed. He walked in slowly and quietly, he smiled to himself as he stared at Trenton sleeping. He bent down and kissed his forehead and pulled his cover up a little further and then left the room.

He walked into his room to see Jana sitting on the bed Indian style staring off into space as she twirled a piece of hair around her finger. He smiled as he walked to the side of the bed and she hadn’t noticed him.

"Hi." He whispered as he leaned on the bed.

Jana jumped slightly and looked at him for a second before she wrapped her arms around his neck hugging him tight almost causing them to fall over.

"I missed you too baby." He said laughing a little.

Jana pulled away from him and just stared at him, searching his eyes. Nick stopped laughing and looked at her weird.

"What’s wrong?" He asked concerned.

"Nothing." Jana said softly.

"Tell me." Nick said as he sat down on the bed.

"Just thinking."

"About?" Nick asked as he pushed a piece of hair behind her ear.

"They didn’t find Shawn."

"Huh?"

"They only found Trenton, Shawn wasn’t there."

"And? You’re scared?"

Jana nodded slightly.

Nick pulled Jana against his body hugging her as he kissed the top of her head.

Jana sighed content with being in Nick’s arms again. "I missed this." She said as she put her hand on top of his.

"Yeah."

Jana pulled away to look at him.

"What?" He asked smiling at her.

"Just admiring you." She replied smiling.

"Why?" Nick asked looking at her strange.

"Because you’re pretty." She said and then leaned in to kiss him gently.

Nick shook his head and then moved off the bed to change his clothes.

"I get a free show?" Jana asked grinning.

Nick looked at her wiggling his eyebrows as he changed.

"So how did it go? Did a lot of fans cry?"

"God, they weren’t crying they were bawling. It was sad though, I mean I don’t have a job anymore. Who would have thought I would retire at 30."

"You know you’ll do other things like produce and all that."

Nick nodded and said, "I don’t know. I like the idea of staying home with the kids while you work or both of us staying at him. You know?"

Jana smiled as she followed him, as he got back on the bed, with her eyes. "I might get tired of you." She said smiling.

"How could you get tired of me?" Nick asked acting hurt.

"I’m not used to seeing you everyday; you know it’ll be weird. So you know I might get tired of seeing that pretty face." Jana said and pinched his cheek lightly.

"Ha, you’re just so funny." Nick said sarcastically and pinched her side.

"That hurt, damn it."

"Sorry." Nick replied smiling innocently.

"You must know I’ve known you for a while and I’m immune to the innocent act of yours."

Nick sat there shocked with his mouth opened and his hand over his heart.

"Better close that before something flies in."

"That hurts."

Jana started laughing and said, "Yeah right."

"I really missed this." Nick said getting serious.

"What?"

"This… the fun we have. Just laughing and shit you know."

"Yeah, I’ve missed it too."

"We need to have more fun more often."

"Oh yeah." Jana said wiggling her eyebrows.

"I wasn’t talking about that you dirty minded girl." Nick said pointing at her.

"Oh." Jana said laughing.

Nick shook his head at her and then began to yawn.

"Tired?" Jana asked as they laid down and she laid her head on his chest.

"A little."

"Yeah I don’t sleep all that well when you aren’t here either."

"Who said it was because you weren’t there?"

"I know deep down that’s why. You don’t have to tell me. I know everything." Jana said laughing as she lazily drew circles on his bare chest.

"That tickles." Nick said as he put his hand on hers stopping it.

Jana laughed. "You know you like it." She said as she started to do it again.

"Yeah you’re right." Nick replied laughing a little.

They laid there in each others arms; Jana continued to draw on his chest while Nick moved his fingers through her hair gently.

"Nick?" Jana asked breaking the silence.

"Yeah?" Nick whispered.

"I have something to tell you." She said sitting up slightly so she could look him in the eyes.

"What?" Nick asked looking at her strangely.

Jana looked down at her hands and then back up at him. "It’s a good thing." She said smiling.

"Jana… tell me." Nick said as he sat up looking at her.
