HIGHSCHOOL

What I Want to Do

HIGHSCHOOL. Highschool is the time when we figure out who we are. We know what we like...but is that what we will stick with when it comes to the point where we have to decide? We all want to be in the "cool crowd." I don't care how many times you say you don't care, you want to be in it...deep down. But what the hell is the cool crowd? And who decided that they were the cool crowd? And what does their decision have to do with you? INFLUENCE It can be good, but it can be horrible. Musical or theatrical influence is great. Peer influence...it sucks. Don't let it bother you. Look, I am not perfect. It used to bother me. Sometimes it still does. But I don't care anymore. I don't give a rat's ass what this one girl thinks of me. This is the girl that puts lip gloss on ten times per minute. She goes shopping every weekend. All she talks about is people. What's that famous quote? "Great minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, small minds discuss people." Don't do it. Who cares? Do you? Think about that one for me. It's the little things in life that define our true character. I mean, does the empty toilet paper roll bug you? It bugs me. How about the fact that we don't know what we are here for? This one is my least favorite. My enemy. Growing up. It's there for building. All construction workers drop the tools. Some even fall from great heights. Weird metaphor. They always get back up and retrieve the tools. We have to be like that. We can't just leave the opportunities lying there.
