3. Many find the bathtub a great
place as they don't get disturbed there. Fill your tub with your favorite
scented bath oil, light a few candles, play some soft music (I like nature
sounds such as ocean, whales, etc when I am in the tub).
4. Make a ritual of it. I use
several things to perform my meditation, but you can make it as simple
or elaborate as you like. Remember it depends on the meditation, where
you are at, and how much time you have. Sometimes, I do a real simple one
when I don't have alot of time, I'm at work, etc. But I usually try to
have a ritual type at least once a week as then I really feel refreshed
and as if I cleansed all the negative energy from the past week off me.
The rest of the time, I do short ones (which I call quick-fixes).
5. If you want to do a ritual
type, keep the things you use together. I use sage before I begin to cleanse
the area and myself so I keep sage leaves in a container near my smudge
fan and shell. I also like to use crystals and other stones.
6. Most important--DO
WHAT FEELS RIGHT TO YOU! Remember this to help you relax and relieve
your stress. If you make it to complicated, then you have defeated the
whole purpose of meditating. Start simple and you can always add to your
meditation as you get more into the routine and as you feel comfortable
with it.
So pick a meditation and start meditating!
