To Your Sacred Space

Once again, you start by finding a nice quiet place where you won't be disturbed. (I like to take a long hot bath to do this one.) Light a few candles, burn a little incense or use aromatherapy for this, play some your favorite soft music and then sit back and relax. Close your eyes, and begin by doing deep breathing. Take a breath and hold it in and then let it out slowly. Do this a few times and let your body relax with each exhale. As you do this, tell your mind that your arms are getting light. Then your hands, fingers, legs, toes. Move each part as you tell your mind they are getting lighter. Then move your neck and head in a circular motion. Feel your shoulders relax, then your neck, and then your head. (You want your body to relax enough but not go to sleep, especially if you are in the tub.)
Now that you are fully relaxed, close your eyes, listen to the soft
strains of the music. (Ocean music, dolphins, flute, piano, harp, etc are
great). Now picture in your mind, that you are looking straight ahead and
see a glowing object or even a doorway. Head towards that object and enter.
When you enter, you leave all your problems behind. There is a shallow
pool of water in front of you, dive into it. As you dive into it, it is
washing away all negativity. You find a secret passage and you swim through
it. When you emerge, you see...................
When you go back, you must dive into the pool again, swim thru the
passage, and go thru the door. When you do, you tell yourself that you
feel refreshed and are at peace with yourself. Don't open your eyes yet
though. It's always good to take a few more deep breaths and then slowly
open your eyes. Do you feel refreshed? Do you have a warm feeling? Are
you more relaxed now?
