In June 2000, members of the Clover Connections 4-H club participated in a three-day camping trip at Watkins Mill State Park. The wooded hillsides that once provided fuel for Watkins Woolen Mill now provide a scenic area for recreation. The 818-acre park, which surrounds the mill and other plantation buildings, features a small lake for fishing, swimming, and boating. It also has a camping and picnicking area, and an asphalt bicycling and hiking trail.
