MUDDING
As I said before, muds are quite addicting, and I too fell
into the trap and became an addict on Shades of Evil.

Shades of Evil
Shades of Evil is the premiere mud of the ACK!mud code base.
The playerbase is generally 40+ people during normal hours, dropping down
to about 20 or 30 on non-peak times. The SoE code is unique in that
it allows gaining in all 5 mortal classes, advancing in 2 remortal classes,
and 20 adept levels, making for a lot of growing room. SoE also sports
two supernatural beings, vampires and werewolves, a PK system that allows
players who wish it to fight each other freely and punishes those that
break the law, and a rare code that allows for certain items to be very
scarce. All of these, combined with a working builder port that allows
continual expansion, automated quests and unique creation, and more makes
Shades of Evil one of the most versatile muds I've seen.
