In my home is a sacred space,
A place where I spend time with You;
We laugh and cry together,
And You try to show me Your view.
My heart is sometimes filled with pain,
Because of circumstances in life;
But Your presence eases the pain,
And You guide me through my strife.
My sacred space is a very quiet place,
You and I can speak to each other;
I tell You my troubles and give You thanks,
You bless me like no other.
I grab my coffee, start my day in my sacred space,
I can count on You to lead me;
You whisper that You love me,
And it fills my heart and soul with glee.
At the end of the day when I am so very tired,
My sacred space beckons to me;
I close the day with words with You,
And I know that the joy in my heart You see.
