Autumn delights are filling the air,
As God colors the world in reds and golds;
The scarecrows and pumpkins have emerged,
And, by the fire, stories are told.

I see haunting pumpkins with scary faces,
Huge black spiders climb the walls;
Grave stones decorate many yards,
Yes, Halloween come in the fall.

Turkeys are baked to a golden brown,
A horn of plenty is stuffed with food;
We remember what to thank God for,
We praise Him because He is mighty and good.

Autumn delights remind us we are blessed,
They tell us our God is ever so faithful;
The Lord knows us so very well,
He knows we want our world colorful.

The air is crisp and also clean,
And I am thankful for every day;
The cool temps revive our spirits,
and for forgiveness and love we pray.
