On Saturday, March 27th, I began my trip to Braves' Spring Training. We flew into Georgia and stayed there until Sunday when we drove down to Florida. The ride to florida was 7 hours of pure boredom.Once we go there it took us about a half an hour to find a motel to stay in.

The next day we drove for about ten minutes to Orlando and we watched the Braves beat the Marlins. That was my favorite stadium. Before the game i wa walking aroun outside the stadium and i got four minor-leaguers autographs. I still haven't figured out there names but I will! One of the minor leaguers was really friendly.

The next day we drove to Winterhaven and watched the Indians. (I was glad that I got to see Jim Thome). The Braves won that game too. While we were there my mom got some autographs from Walt Weiss and Odalis Perez. I still had no luck getting any autographs.

On Wednesday we drove to Lakeland to watch the Braves vs. the Tigers. Well they didn't win, BUT I got to see Tommy Glavine pitch four scoreless innings! Before the game (we finaly got to sit on the side the Braves were on) my mom got some autographs from Mike Mahoney and Bobby Dews. Well I still had no luck until I found Leo Mazzone when I was wandering around again. But then my favorite releiver, Mike Cather,(he always has has been for some reason)came out onto the field and started walking to the bullpen. No one knew his name so I told my mom what his name wa and we called him once, and he totally changed his path and walked over to us! He signed my ball, and one of my mom's index cards. I was so happy. Everyone asked who I got and when I said, "Mike Cather," they said, "Who?" or "I've never heard of him."

That day we drove back to Georgia and went to sleep as soon ad we got there. The next day (Thursday) we rested and on Friday we went to Turner Field (my first time!) and watched the Braves beat the Orioles. I was glad that I got to see Cal Ripken. John Smoltz pitched a great game.

While I was there I got to see Tom Glavine, Kevin Millwood, Odalis Perez, and John Smoltz pitch.
I got to see Ryan Klekso, Eddie Perez, Javy Lopez, and Chipper Jones hit homeruns.
