1/10/14 UPDATE: I made this page when I was about 10 years old. I am now 27, and Tom Glavine was just inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame two days ago. Congratulations Mr. Glavine!
1998: Welcome to my Tom Glavine web page. Tom Glavine is my favorite Brave and my favorite baseball player. Not only is Tom Glavine a great baseball player, but he is also a good man. He helps to raise money for many different charities including the Georgia Council on Child Abuse, where Tom is the honorary chairperson.
When Glavine became my favorite it wasn't because he was pitching good, it wasn't his number, or because he got a win. Before my Dear Aunt got me hooked on the Braves I was flipping through the channels and saw a baseball game. I stopped because the announcers kept stopping - rewinding - and playing a clip of some guy running the bases. They kept saying there was something wrong with his leg, and thought he should come out of the game. I cought his number and thought, "Wow, that guy is really cool to play with pain." And then when I was totally hooked on the Braves I saw Tom running the bases, remembered the number and realized he was the guy who didn't want to give up. Thats my sweet little story.
If you have anything (pictures, stories, etc.) that you would like to have on my page please send them to me!

    Updates/Upcoming Stuff:
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH yes, it is both sad and true. Glavine was traded to the Mets. I think I am too sad to carry on the page.
