I unpacked all of my things and set them up in about two hours flat. And my room was finished. In my room I had a bunkbed, the bottom was for Gus. I had my computer desk, my stereo case, my keyboard, and my dresser. And after all of my stuff was in the room, I still had tons of space! So dad said that later, we could go to the mall and buy some inflateable furniture for my room.
I felt very lonely though, I had to leave all of my friends, and everything that I knew. Los Angeles was my home, and even after we had arrived here, I still didn't know where here was! But I didn't care very much. And being the vary active person that I am, I took Gus ouside with my stereo and blades. It was a very big backyard! There was a pool at one cornor, about 10 large trees, and about half of it was grass, and the other half was cement, perfect for a basketball court and a skating area! The yard itself must have been about an acre or two! And there was a big white board fence around it all. And by the side of the house by the basketball area, was a door, probably to the next yard or the driveway. So I put my stereo down on the porch and I let Gus' collar go and he ran around the yard. I popped in my Middle Of Nowhere CD, but I didn't play it very loud because I didn't want to make any neighbors angrey. Then I strapped on my blades and bladed around for a little while.
But I soon got board of that, so I took my stereo inside, and I rode into the house with my blades. I left a note to dad that I was going to go look around the neighborhood. He had already gone over to his work to arrange everything so he wouldn't have to come in until everything was okay here.
I left Gus outside in the back yard, he was barking at a squirrel or something, so I decided that I would blade around by myself since he was content on catching the squirrel. I took my mini back pack and put it on.
It was a hot summer day, and I had on my white no sleeve shirt with the words "I survived the Albertane Tour" on it, Binkies had gotten them made for us before I left. And I had on my short denim shorts. I let my hair flow free today, since I couldn't think of anything to do with it. So I started blading down the street, looking at all of the houses, searching for some sign, that would tell me where I was.
*****Meanwhile*****
"Hey, I didn't know that the neighbors had a dog!" I said as I stopped playing my keyboards to look out the window at the dog that was doing all of the barking. It was a large, black and tan dog, I guess it was a German Shepherd.
"Hey Ike, check out the dog! It's so, familiar!" I said as Ike and Zac came over to my side and looked at the dog.
"Ya know, it does." Ike agreed.
"Hey, that's the dog that tried to attack me!" Zac added. He was right! It was! But, it couldn't be. Could Jessica be our new neighbors?
"Do you think?" Ike asked, he had the exact same idea that I had.
"Come on, let's go check out the dog, if it is Gus, then..." I said. as we ran downstairs and outside. We crossed out yard, to where a hole in the fence was, and Zac crawled through, while Ike and I climbed up a tree overlooing the next door yard, and watched.
The dog barked at Zac, and ran over to him. And not showing any signs of stopping, Zac ran to the edge of the fence, he was cornered. Then the dog ran right up to him, and pounced on him, knocking him down. Then Ie and I jumped down from the tree and we crawled through the fence to Zac's aid. When we got there, he was laughing!
"Ah Ike, Tay! It is Gus! Because this is what happened the first time I saw him! Ahh!" He said. He was right. Because the first time we went to Jessica's house, Gus pounced on Zac and licked him, and apparently, that is what he just did! So I pulled Gus off of Zac and checked the name tag just to make sure, and I was right. Not to mention that the dog definately looked like him, because once you see this dog do puppy eyes, you never forget it. Then Gus returned to his post at the tree and continued barking. So we went back to our yard.
"Ike, how can we know if the neighbors really are Jessica and her dad? Because, what if they just sent Gus here to live with the neighbors?" Zac asked as we climbed up to our room. Ike shrugged his shoulders in reply.
"I think that I can answer that. Well, about an hour ago, I saw someone walking around in the room that faces our room, but I couldn't see the face. But it was definately a girl. And it did look a bit like Jess. But if we could see what is inside her room, then we could tell if it is her!" I said. I noticed that Zac's orange shirt had a small hole in it. That figures, he wears that thing so much it was bound to happen.
"But how are we gonna do that Tay?!" Zac asked. I walked over to my bed and pulled out a pair of binoculars from under it. The he smiled, it was obvious what I was going to do. I opened up the window that faced the window accross from ours, and I peered in through the open window. I saw lots of things that looked like it would be in Jessica's room, but nothing to prove it. Then I moved over to the other side of the window to get a better look. And there, on a shelf on the wall, were tons of things from our concert, and I looked even closer, and they were all autographed by us. And On the shelf under that, was about 2 vases of red and white roses. It was definate, it was Jess.
