Autograped Pronger Hockey Stick
HAPPIEST FAN
This had to have been one of the happiest moments of my life. We were at the Humane Society of SEMO Auction of 2001, and I had just been the highest bidder on an autographed hockey stick by Chris Pronger. I knew it was going to be in the auction and had made up my mind that I wasn't leaving without it. And I didn't.
I'm afraid that I made a bit of a fool of myself. When the bidding was over I was jumping up and down screaming because I was the winner. Most people just sat quietly in their seat as they won the item but I was so excited that I could not contain my enthusiasm.
That night I wouldn't let go of the stick, I laid it on the bed beside me, and kissed it every morning for a month there after. You won't find any stats on the page just my passion for the St Louis Blues. We may not always be the first in the league but they are always first in my heart.
I also incorporate my work with my hockey passion. We had a BIG yellow tabby, male at the shelter. He was a little older so one of the local vets neutered and declawed him to give him a chance to be adopted. He was adopted, but the people were allergic to him so that brought him back. Finally one of our staff took him home with her because he was such a nice kitty He was very inposing in appearance since his head is as big as a mack truck and he weighs about sixteen poinds. His name "PRONGER".
I have named my new kitties afer some of my favorite Blues players.
I have NASH. He is a little instigator, moving and into something all the time.
I have PELLY. He is sneaky and you have to watch him or he will be on you before you know it.
I also have CHASE. This one we have nicknamed "Feral Kitty". See the comparison.
Then there is DALLY. He is as sweet as pie and you can always count on him to be there at the right moment.
My daughter and son-in-law have followed the theme. The have CHOPPER,NAGY, and CUJO.(Well, he used to be a Blue)
Our vets now ask which Blue is the newest kitty named after.
