Welcome to Black Water Ranch. We are located on 2,000 acres in the beautiful Montana. We have eight barns, each holding a separate gender or group such as the yearlings or stallions. One barn is full of wash racks to wash the horses down after esercise. We have four hotwalkers ro ensure the right warm-down for our horses so their muscles do not cramp up and become sore and painful. We also have a 1/2 mile track for quarter racing. We have a feed storage building and equipment storage building to keep everything sorted properly and safely. BWR also has an indoor and outdoor arena to practice in.
We have our own steers and calves kept here at BWR to train our horses with. They are bought from King Ranch in Texas. We use them to train our horses that will be entering disciplines such as calf roping or cutting.
We also have many nice trails located on our property. They lead to many places, such as this nice quiet waterfall as seen to the left. The trails are maintained to make sure they are safe, and are available to anyone here! Please, enjoy your trail rides.
