Before the match, the referee raises the United States Championship high into the air, as both men stare up at the title. After the referee hands the belt to the ring announcer, the bell sounds and the match gets underway. The two stare each other down....but Angle immediately runs at Christian and tackles him to the ground. He starts to beat at his face viciously as Christian flips him over and starts hitting Angle. Angle pushes him off but Christian clotheslines Angle to the ground again. Christian gets back up and stomps away at Angle. Angle grabs his foot and throws him into the ropes.

Angle runs off of the ropes and dropkicks Christian in the back. Christian slowly gets up and Angle grabs him and hits a Powerslam pin. 1...........kickout. Angle picks him up but Christian kicks him in the stomach and locks him in a headlock. He drags him over to the turnbuckle and climbs it, keeping Angle in the headlock. He looks like hes going to do something but Angle jumps off and delivers the Angle Slam off the top rope! 1………….2…………..kickout.

Angle gets up and goes to lock in the Angle lock but Christian kicks him in the face. Angle backs into the ropes and Christian picks him up and delivers a flapjack. Christian picks him off the ground and delivers a DDT. 1……….2………kickout. Christian gets up but angle trips him and grabs his ankle and locks in the Angle Lock. Christian starts to scream and inches towards the ropes. Christian almost reaches it but Angle pulls him back to the center of the ring. Christian flips over and kicks him in the head. Angle falls backward.

Christian jumps up and runs at Angle and clotheslines him over the ropes. Christian jumps off of the top rope, going for a cross-body but Angle moves out of the way, sending Christian into the barrier. Angle grabs Christian and throws him back into the ring. Angle gets in the ring and picks up Christian. He goes for a german suplex but Christian elbows him in the head a few times until he lets go. Christian grabs him and hits the Unprettier. 1……………2……………3

Christian goes to pin again. 1………2………kickout. Christian picks Angle up but Angle throws him into the ropes. As he comes back, Angle hits a neckbreaker. Angle grabs Christian head and locks him in a modified headlock. Christian goes linp and the ref lifts Christian’s hand. 1………….2…………..Christian keeps his hand up and starts to hit Angle. Angle lets go as Christian gets back up. Christian hits him in the gut and goes for the Unprettier again but Angle runs him into the turnbuckle. Christian bounces off of the turnbuckle, grabbing his stomach in pain, as Angle picks him up and hits the Angle Slam. 1………….2……………..3

The Iron-Man match is now tied 1-1!

As Christian slowly rolls back to his feet...Angle immediately attacks! Angle STOMPS away at Christian! Angle pulls Christian to his feet...BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX!

Angle picks Christian back up from behind....GERMAN SUPLEX! Angle pulls Christian back up....ANOTHER GERMAN SUPLEX! Angle pulls Christian up again...but Christian hits Angle with an ELBOW!

Christian runs to the ropes....CLOTHESLINE! Christian pulls ANgle to his feet....and SLAMS HIM TO THE MAT! Christian picks Angle back up and whips him to the ropes...SHOULDER BLOCK BY CHRISTIAN!

Christian picks Angle up again...and calls for the UNPRETTIER!! NO! Angle blocks it! Angle hits Christian across the side of the head...Angle sneaks behind him...ANGLE SLAM!!

Angle hit another ANGLE SLAM! Kurt goes for the cover ........ONE.......TWO........THREE! WAIT NO! ONLY TWO! Christian managed to get his foot on the bottom rope before the count of three!

Kurt Angle can't believe it! Angle grabs hold of Christian's leg and pulls him to the center of the ring...and locks in...the ANKLE LOCK! Angle has it locked in! Christian is screaming in pain...but is refusing to tap out! Christian inches his way towards the ropes....closer and closer....but Angle pulls him back to the middle of the ring!

Christian is trying to fight it...and starts to move slowly back towards the ropes....he's almost there! Christian gets his arm up...and drops it across the bottom rope! Christian has reached the ropes! Angle must now break the hold!

Halfway through the Iron-Match...the score is still tied 1-1!

Kurt Angle stalks Christian from behind as he slowly gets back to his feet. Kurt Angle and Christian run at each other and get into a tie-up. Christian takes the advantage….and whips him ACROSS THE RING! Kurt Angle gets up….FOOTBALL TACKLE BY Christian!! Christian lands on top of Kurt Angle and starts tugging away at Kurt Angle’s hair. Christian slaps away at Kurt Angle. Christian picks Kurt Angle up by the hair…DDT!! Christian covers Kurt Angle as the referee counts ….1….2..KICKOUT!!

Christian stands back up and hits an elbow drop on Kurt Angle. Christian stands back up….another elbow to the chest! Christian picks Kurt Angle back up and irish whips Kurt Angle…REVERSAL! Christian goes to the ropes….CLOTHESLINE BY Kurt Angle! Kurt Angle picks Christian up…SLAP ACROSS THE FACE! It only seems to make Christian mad! Christian tackles Kurt Angle and holds him shoulders down …1…2…KICKOUT!

Christian pulls Kurt Angle up…Christian PUSHES Kurt Angle INTO THE CORNER! Christian runs to the corner…CHOKE HOLD BY Christian! Christian is choking Kurt Angle out! The referee pulls Christian off and Christian waits for Kurt Angle to get up.

Christian grabs Kurt Angle by the hair…SNAPMARE! Christian pulls Kurt Angle up…kick to the midsection by Kurt Angle. Kurt Angle runs to the ropes….POWERSLAM BY Christian!! Kurt Angle slowly gets up…kick to the stomach by Christian…PILEDRIVER!! Christian covers Kurt Angle…

Christian can’t believe it! Christian pulls Kurt Angle back up…DOUBLE-ARM DDT!! That’s it! Christian goes for the cover on Kurt Angle ….ONE……TWO…..

…..THR..KICKOUT!! That was so close. Two and three quarters! Christian is outraged! He yells at the referee! Christian picks Kurt Angle back up for a second Double-arm DDT…Kurt Angle falls down to his knees! Kurt Angle is out. He is done for!

Christian yells at Kurt Angle to get up and pulls him up for the Double-arm DDT. Christian picks him up …….DOUBLE-ARM DDT!! Christian goes for the cover ….ONE…..TWO….THRE..NO! KICKOUT! Angle slowly gets to his feet. Christian runs to the ropes…Kurt Angle stops him….ANGLE SLAM!! NO! Christian blocks it….and ROLLS ANGLE UP!! ONE.....TWO.......THREE!!

The score is now 2-1 in favor of Christian with only fifteen minutes left in the match!

As Christian gets back to his feet...he reaches over to one corner, and picks up...Kurt’s Olympic Gold Medals!! Christian delivers an ELBOW SMASH across the back of Angle! Christian lifts Angle up ...and WRAPS THE MEDALS AROUND ANGLE'S NECK! He is choking Angle with his own medals! Angle can't breathe! Christian lets go and tosses the medals out of the ring.

Christian pulls Angle to his feet...and KNOCKS HIM DOWN WITH A CLOTHESLINE! Christian runs to the ropes.....ELBOW DROP! Christian covers Angle ......ONE...KICKOUT! Not even close!

Christian gets back to his feet...but Angle trips him! Angle gets to his feet...and grabs Christian by the legs....LOW BLOW! Angle takes his right leg...and starts to TWIST it! Angle then takes Christian's leg...and puts him in a HALF CRAB!! Angle has it locked on......but Christian reaches the ropes!

The referee tells Angle to break the hold....but Angle drags Christian back to the middle of the ring! Christian is yelling in pain! Angle has it on perfectly! Christian can't reach the ropes....he's getting closer...and closer...he's reached the ropes!!

Christian has reached the ropes...this time Angle has got to break it. But he doesn't! Wait! The referee forces him to break the hold! Angle glares over at the referee...Christian rolls him up from behind ....ONE...TWO...KICKOUT!!

Christian almost had the match won right there! Christian and Angle both get to their feet. They tie-up...Angle puts Christian in a HEADLOCK...and pushes him into the corner! Angle STOMPS away at Christian! Wait! Angle is setting Christian up for the ANGLE SLAM!! Here it comes! Angle runs at Christian...but Christian puts up the BOOT!

Angle falls back....as Christian runs in with a CLOTHESLINE...NO! Angle ducks...and hits a NECKBREAKER! Angle is removing the straps! Angle is calling for...the ANKLE LOCK! He’s got it locked in....perfectly! Christian has nowhere to go! Christian is trying to fight it....but he can’t! Christian has no alternative but to tap out!

The score is now tied 2-2 with only 7 minutes left in the match!

After Angle gets Christian to tap out...he quickly turns Christian over and goes for the cover .....ONE.........TWO.......THRE...NO! Christian manages to kick out!

Angle pulls Christian back to his feet...and WHIPS him to the corner! Angle meets Christian in the corner....and repeatedly hits KNIFE EDGE CHOPS! WAIT! Christian blocks one...and turns Angle into the corner!

Christian lifts Angle up and sets him up on the top rope! Christian climbs up to the top....SUPERPLEX! NO! Angle blocks it...and hits a FRONT SUPLEX sending Christian hard to the mat!

Angle gets to his feet on the top turnbuckle...turns around...he's going for it! Angle leaps....MOONSAULT! NO! Christian moves out of the way at the last possible second!

Both men are down and out in the middle of the ring as the referee starts to make the count. Neither men are moving until the referee reaches a 7 count...as both men slowly start to move back to their feet. Fatigue is really starting to build up here.

Both men get back to their feet right before the count of ten. They both run towards each other....DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE! They both hit the mat hard...as the referee again starts up the count!

We are now down to the final two minutes...as Angle and Christian again slowly get back to their feet. The two men meet in the ring...lock up...Angle spins behind Christian....GERMAN SUPLEX!

Angle holds onto it...as he pulls Christian back up....a SECOND GERMAN SUPLEX! Angle continues to hold un and pulls Christian back up! A THIRD GERMAN SUPLEX!

How is Angle managing to do this?! We are down to the final forty-five seconds! He is going for a fourth! Angle pulls Christian back up....a FOURTH GERMAN SUPLE..NO! Christian hits Angle with a BACK ELBOW!

Christian spins around behind Angle...he locks it in...UNPRETTIER! Christian hit the UNPRETTIER! Both men are out in the middle of the ring! Christian is unable to capitalize!

The countdown is coming down! 10......9...........8.........7 (All Christian has to do is turn over on top of Kurt Angle!)......6.......5.........4.............3.........2............1..........00!!

Christian was unable to go for the cover! The match ends in a 2-2 tie...which means Kurt Angle is STILL the United States Champion!

After the match, as each man gets to his feet...the fans in Edmonton are giving a standing ovation for both Kurt Angle and Christian for putting on one helluva match!
