Terri Runnels: "I'm standing here with The Rock, just minutes before he is to go out there and take on The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels in a battle for the Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship. Rock, are you nervous?"

The Rock: "Come on baby, The Rock lives for these moments. The Rock isn't nervous, it's more of an excitement. The Rock can't wait to get in that ring and see if he still has the magic that brought the millions and millions of fans to his side."

Terri Runnels: "Any last words for Hogan or Test going into the match?"

The Rock: "Just stay out of the way. The Rock and Shawn Michaels have warned both of those jabronis, and they better heed those warnings unless they want their candy asses kicked."

Terri Runnels: "Well, I won't keep you Rock. Good luck tonight."

The Rock: "The Rock doesn't need luck, he just needs the perserverance of a football player. He needs to run through this match like a damned frieght train and not stop for any jabroni that may see fit to get in The Rock's way. Now, HBK, let's do this. If ya smell it, jabroni."

And without another word, The Rock walks off to be in front of the thousands of people chanting his name.

A Few Final Words By The Showstoppa....

Lillian Garcia: "I am here with the current Undisputed Champion, the Heart Break kid Shawn Michaels. HBK … how are you feeling, just moments away from your first title defence?"

HBK: "Oooh, Lillian … the nerves are running a little wild, I have to tell ya! I’m excited, anxious for it to get going, and just looking forward to it, you know? But hopefully it will all calm down a bit when it gets rolling … and we get into auto-gear. It should be good. It should be real good."

Lillian Garcia: "Do Hulk Hogan and Test pose a threat to your title?"

HBK: "I won’t deny that they will probably be a factor in this match. How much of a factor, it is hard to tell. But both Rocky and I want this to be as fair as possible. So, if any of those guys get involved, you can expect to see them getting their asses handed to them on a silver platter. Whichever one of us is to come out the winner, we wan this one to be a fair match, with a legitimate victory. Yeah, it will be about doing whatever it takes, but I want to win this match with my own offense … with my own moves, and it isn’t going to end until that happens."

Lillian Garcia: "You sound very confident…"

HBK: "Maybe … maybe, and I know the odds don’t seem to favour me, but you have to be confident in yourself, or you will never accomplish anything in this business.

Lillian Garcia: "Ok, well it is about time for your match now, Shawn. Any final words, before the match?"

HBK: "Of course I would like to wish the very best luck to Rock. I hope his jaw is getting on alright, because he can expect much of the same from me in the match. We both want this … we both crave this strap … it is what the business is all about. It is gonna be a war zone out there, with so many people involved in the match. So … I guess, let the best man win…"

Hollywood Hogan raises the World Title into the air and hands it to the ring announcer. The referee calls for the bell and the World Title match gets underway! HBK sneaks up from behind…..and DRIVES AN ELBOW INTO THE BACK OF The Rock! HBK whips The Rock to the ropes... REVERSAL!! The Rock runs in behind him and leaps up.. RUNNING KNEELIFT!! INTO A FACEBUSTER!! The Rock then hooks him in a GUTWRENCH... that he turns over into a POWERBOMB!!! The Rock rolls back up to his feet and raises an eyebrow that nearly EVERYBODY pops for!!!

HBK stands, whiping his face with his hand. He dives at Rocky and does a DOUBLE LEG TAKEDOWN!! He starts throwing fists into Rocky's face. Rocky rolls him off... and gets up to his feet! HBK swings up... LOW BLOW!! HBK stands and hits a SNAP MARE into a headlock. He presses the knee into the small of Rocky's back. Rocky reaches up... HANDFUL OF HAIR!! He starts to bridge up to his feet... and then he drops down... with a JAWBREAKER!!! HBK falls backwards, holding his face!! Rocky runs in... CLOTHESLINE!!

Rocky applies an armbar that pushes HBK down to his knees. HBK starts to come back up to a vertical base... then HIPLOCKS Rocky to the mat!! HBK bounces to the ropes... and comes charging in... BODYBLOCK!! He tries to hold The Rock down for the pin, but Rocky rolls up and over and comes up with the lateral press... ONE... HBK kicks free. Rocky and HBK stand and start exchanging KNIFE EDGES! Rocky gets the upperhand and starts driving HBK back into the corner!! Rocky pulls him out... and across the middle of the ring... IRISH WHIP TO THE CORNER!! Rocky charges in... SPLASH!! NO!! HBK CATCHES HIM... AND HITS A BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX INTO THE CORNER!!! HBK then BACKDROPS him into the middle of the ring... then dives on him with piston punches!!!

HBK has a hammerlock on Rocky. The Rock goes for a reversal... but HBK holds fast. HBK switches The Rock into an abdominal stretch. Hollywood Hogan checks to see if he'll submit... but NO WAY!!

The Rock gets the fans behind him!!! He nearly HIPLOCKS HBK off... but HBK let's the hold go. He spins Rocky around and goes to kick him in the mid-section. The Rock CATCHES the FOOT!! He spins HBK around... into an ATOMIC DROP... into a DISCUS PUNCH!! Rocky then scoops up HBK...SHOULDERBREAKER!! Quick KNEE to the HEAD!!! The Rock then gets down into a REVESE CHINLOCK!! He wrenches the head back, driving the knee between the shoulderblades.

Rocky releases... and runs to the ropes. HBK comes at him with a clothesline... and Rocky DUCKS IT!! HBK spins and The Rock has put on the brakes!! INVERTED ATOMIC DROP!! Rocky pushes HBK into the ropes... then POWERSLAMS HIM DOWN!! The Rock then throws him to the corner... and goes for the Rocky SPLASH AGAIN... HE HITS IT!! The fans CHEER!! Rocky lets him stumble out... into a CLOTHESLINE!! The Rock covers HBK …..ONE…..TWO…..KICKOUT!

The Rock pulls HBK back to his feet. Rocky BODYSLAMS HBK... and then LEGDROPS him down!! Rocky hits a SHOULDERBREAKER... then KNEEDROPS him in the nead!! Rocky whips HBK to the corner and runs in... SPLASH... then a MONKEY FLIP SUPLEX!! Rocky runs in as HBK stands.... and he hits a FLYING FOREARM SMASH TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD... and then drops him down in BULLDOG HEADLOCK!!

The Rock stands and walks toward the camera... yelling!! The fans EXPLODE!! Rocky turns around and tells HBK to ‘BRING IT!’. HBK, up on his knees, throws a punch at Rocky, but it MISSES! Rocky hooks him in a FRONT FACELOCK... and brings him up into a VERTICAL SUPLEX!! Rocky holds him up there... and then DROPS HIM DOWN HARD!!! The Rock hooks him in a GUTWRENCH... and spins him around into a POWERBOMB!! He holds him down and yells COUNT!!! Hollywood Hogan hits the canvas... ONE... TWO... HBK kicks Rocky in the head and breaks it up. The Rock rolls backwards and up to his feet. HBK rolls back as well and bounces off the mat. He runs in... and Rocky hits a SPINNING NECKBREAKER!! The Rock gets down on top and holds on to the head and neck... for a CAMEL CLUTCH REVERSE CHINLOCK!!! The fans, only just now, start to take their seats!!

The Rock pulls back, driving his knee between HBK' shoulderblades!! ASK HIM!!! The Rock gets to his feet and poses for the crowd as they go crazy! HBK hooks The Rock by the tights... and rolls him back... ONE... TWO... KICKOUT!! HBK whips The Rock to the ropes... and runs at him with a CLOTHESLINE... Rocky, instead... GETS A CRUCIFIX PIN MANEUEVER!! He pulls HBK down to the mat... ONE... TWO... KICKOUT!! Rocky grabs a leg... and puts on SPINNING TOE HOLD!! HBK starts to move towards the ropes... and reaches it!! The Rock holds the leg out straight and starts KICKING him the calf muscle!!! He grapevines the leg with is own legs... and then DROPS DOWN ON TOP OF IT!! HBK yells in pain!!

HBK pulls himself to the corner... slumping down to the bottom rope. Rocky jumps around, crotch chopping. He then gets a head of steam and runs in... KNEE TO THE FACE!!! Rocky snatches HBK out from the corner in an ABDOMINAL STRETCH!! Only seconds later, he turns it into a PUMP HANDLE SLAM!!!

Rocky sends HBK in for the ride. He ducks under for a DEATH VALLEY DRIVER... but HBK slides down the back and gets the tail-end of a SUNSET FLIP!! He rolls Rocky down... ONE... KICKOUT!! They get to their feet and tie up... COLLAR AND ELBOW!! HBK... ARMDRAGS Rocky down!! Rocky rolls under the bottom rope and gets up on the other side of the ropes on the apron. HBK runs in... DROPKICK!!! Rocky FALLS BACK INTO THE FIRST ROW!!! The fans cheer ‘H...B....K’!!! The fans in the stands help Rocky up, slapping him on the back. Rocky climbs back over the railing, holding his chest. He jumps up on the apron. HBK brings up a SUPERKICK! But Rocky GRABS the leg... pulls it OVER the top rope... and DROPS OFF THE APRON WITH IT!! HBK IS 'SADDLED' ON THE TOP STRAND!!!

Rocky jumps up and grabs the top rope... and nails HBK with a hard right....sending him OUTSIDE THE RING!! He flips over and sort of lands on his one foot and knee. He stands... but Rocky feeds a DIVING CLOTHESLINE ON HIM!!! HBK falls back into the ringpost where Rocky starts KNIFE-EDGING HIM!! SLAP!! SLAP!! SLAP!! The shots echo around the ARENA!!

Rocky chops again... but HBK... FALLS ASIDE!! Rocky's hand WHACKS across the steel ringpost!! He holds it in to his chest, his face contorted in pain. HBK does a TAKEDOWN from behind, dropping Rocky onto the steps!! HBK STEPS on Rocky's hurt arm... right at the rist... and then STOMPS on the fingers!! He drops down and puts on an armbar... and grabs the fingers... and starts BENDING THEM!!! THERE IS A SNAP!!!

HBK throws Rocky into the ring...and then he climbs in. He hits a SNAP SUPLEX on Rocky... and then sets him up in a FULL NELSON!! Rocky tosses his head back and CRACKS it into the face of HBK, to break the hold!! Rocky spins around...HARD RIGHT! He whips him into the ropes... and runs in at him...BACK ELBOW!! Rocky yells out at the fans who are ALL BACK UP ON THEIR SEATS AGAIN! Rocky pulls HBK up by the head... and does a devastating DDT!! Then...he hooks him in between his legs... AND SETS FOR THE ROCK BOTTOM...but HBK hits a MISSILE DROPKICK OUT OF NOWHERE! HBK falls on top of the Rock! ONE... TWO... KICKOUT!!! The fans ARE GOING CRAZY!!! HBK sits up...checking the count with Hollywood Hogan. ONLY TWO!! HBK AGAIN yells... then throws Rocky to the ropes. SWEET CHIN MUSIC!!! He holds Rocky down... ONE... TWO... THREE!!!!

HBK stands up, holding his hands in the air!!! Rocky's foot... is UNDER the bottom rope!! On the OUTSIDE!! HBK's demanding the title... but then the referee sees the foot... and then signals ONLY TWO!! TWO!! THE MATCH IS STILL ON!! HBK CAN’T BELIEVE IT!

HBK is YELLING at the referee! HBK is arguing but the referee isn’t listening! The Rock sneaks up from behind….and ROLLS HIM UP! ONE…..TWO…..KICKOUT!! Almost three! The Rock almost had HBK beat with a roll-up pin! HBK quickly gets to his feet….but gets knocked down with a CLOTHESLINE!!

The Rock pulls HBK back to his feet...HBK pushes free from the Rock....SWEET CHIN MUSIC! NO! The Rock catches HBK’s leg...spins him around....ROCK BOTTOM! The Rock hit the Rock Bottom! The Rock drapes his arm over HBK! ONE.......TWO.......THRE...WAIT!

Hollywood Hogan isn’t counting the three count! The Rock looks up at Hogan....Hogan smiles back at the Rock....and says ‘4 Life!’ The Rock can’t believe this! Hollywood Hogan just screwed the Rock out the World Title! The Rock quickly gets to his feet...but runs into....the BIG BOOT!

Hogan runs to the ropes.....HOLLYWOOD LEG DROP! There is a chorus of boos from the crowd! Hogan looks out at the fans and smiles as the boos get even louder! Hogan then looks down at HBK....runs to the ropes....LEG DROP...ON HBK! What is Hollywood doing?!

Hogan looks down at both men...and is starting to count them both out! 1........2...........3...........4.........5............6.............7...........8.............9..............10!

Hollywood Hogan has counted both men down and out! Hogan yells over at the ring announcer and grabs the World Title! Hogan takes the title and raises it high into the air! What is he doing? Hogan didn’t win the match!

As Hogan is taunting the crowd with the title....both the Rock AND Shawn Michaels KIP UP! Hogan turns around....and both Rock and HBK start to take it to Hollywood Hogan! HBK and Rock are teaming up to take out Hogan!

The Rock sends Hogan to the outside and starts to beat away at Hogan at ringside! HBK looks down at the two...and then picks the World Title back up and puts it over his shoulder.

WAIT! WHERE DID CHRISTIAN COME FROM?! Christian spins HBK around....UNPRETTIER! Christian is taking it to HBK! Here comes Lance Storm! Storm climbs into the ring....as he starts to double team HBK!

MEDALS! Wait! Here comes the cavalry! Here comes Kurt Angle....and he’s got a SLEDGEHAMMER in hand! Angle slides into the ring....as both Christian and Lance Storm immediately leave the ring. HBK slowly starts to get to his feet....but Angle HITS HBK OVER THE HEAD WITH THE SLEDGEHAMMER! What is Kurt Angle doing?! He just laid out HBK with the sledgehammer!!

Christian and Storm climb back into the ring....both of them smiling! Christian stares at Angle....and the two hug! All three men shake hands as Angle calls for a microphone...... Kurt Angle: I warned everyone that tonight they should expect the unexpected, well boy did we live up to the billing, you've witnessed Warfare, right now your looking at Kurt Angle, Christian and Lance Storm...CANADIAN WARFARE, oh its true, its damn true....Wooooooooooo. Backlash comes to a close with Canadian Warfare standing in the middle of the ring....raising their arms high into the air. Test suddenly appears at the top of the ramp, looks out at the ring, and then points down at his waist, signifying the World Title will be his! Christian reaches down and grabs the World Title....and raises it into the air as WWE Backlash goes off the air............
