Sharks have terrified people for centuries and deep within the forbidding waters of Mexico's Baja Peninsula may lurk a mammoth sixty foot monster. Could it be a new giant species or some living relic, hidden in the sea? In prehistoric times, huge carnivorous sharks, more than twice the size of a great white, ruled the waves. Marine experts claim these giants went extinct, but evidence may challenge that. They set out for Fairbanks before the snowplows even arrive. Further north on the haul road, that same blizzard causes a major collision near the icy hill called "Slope Mountain." Tow truck driver Ben Krsykowski carefully pulls a truck cab and trailer back up on the road--knowing that the slightest spark could set off a massive explosion. Canadian ice road truckers Hugh and Alex try to complete their first solo runs. Hugh is ahead in this race--he reached Deadhorse the day before--while Alex continues to have mechanical problems. After safely reaching Fairbanks, Jack takes off again with a towering pipe rack--a load that barely clears the traffic lights in town. Finally reaching his destination with this precarious freight--he has a close encounter with a 1,100-pound moose.

Our high-energy cocktail of dramatic reenactment, expert interviews, and on-location footage entertains historians Akram Elias, Stephen Bullock, and Brent Morris to retell the Freemasons' central myth concerning Hiram Abiff, mythical builder of Jerusalem's Temple of Solomon. A massive storm blows in and all traffic on the ice road comes to a standstill. And if wheels aren't turning, no one's earning. George, Tim and Lisa take shelter at Coldfoot, the only truck stop on the road. But this season's heavy haul ace, Jack Jesse, tries to outrun the storm. Hugh and Alex start out on their second runs. While Alex is plagued with mechanical problems, Hugh heads out for the ice road, but his lack of familiarity with Carlile trucks almost causes him to have an accident. When George and Tim reach Atigun Pass, they face deep snow and icy roads more treacherous than ever before. And it's slow going for Lisa because she's hauling her first ever wide-load and must give way to oncoming traffic. When she reaches Atigun Pass, blowing snow reduces visibility to almost zero. But her troubles are far from over. After she crosses the pass, her pilot truck breaks down, and she must continue her journey alone through the brutal Arctic storm.

They decide to continue, and the Expedition heads off toward an uncertain future, knowing any relapse could lead to their failure. Time is critical if they want to make Ujiji in 30 days. With one of the team ill and needing care, the balance of power changes, and the group is exhausted. They make camp, but must build fires to ward off the danger from hippos. After a decision to rest for a day, confrontations ensue. Two of the team get into a huge fight, putting team unity--and hope for a successful expedition--into shambles.

Some activities only occur when the world is dark. We stay up late off the coast of California to hunt some slippery and slimy nocturnal creatures: squid by the tens of thousands. Fishermen show us how they lure them into their net by mesmerizing them with the boat's powerful lights. We also visit Toronto, Canada, the self proclaimed "worm capitol of the world", where an army of pickers pluck countless night crawlers emerging from their burrows. In Tennessee, we put a night vision lens on our camera to capture the action as military trainees try their hand at the latest night vision gear. And we'll experience how hard it is to evade a police helicopter's blindingly bright Spectrolab spotlight, or powerful noses and sharp teeth when the cops deploy their K-9 units. For some after hours fun, we'll see how more than six hundred, 2,000 watt lights can turn night into day inside the Pittsburgh Pirates' new state-of-the-art stadium.

John Dillinger, Machine Gun Kelly, Baby Face Nelson, and Bonnie and Clyde are some of the most notorious criminals of the last century. Technological advances like the Tommy Gun, V-8 engines with electric starters, and bulletproof vests often gave the robbers the advantage over the police. A spree of robberies, killings and kidnappings during an 18-month period from 1933 to 1934 shook the nation to its core. The government responded with a war on crime that began with America's first national police force and the rise of the FBI. The explorers arrive at the Bahi Swamp--despite its name, a harsh desert landscape. While there, they arrange to hire donkeys to help carry supplies for the next stage of the trip. The plan is to beat the heat by setting out at 4am, but things don't work out as planned. As the sun is hitting its peak, the explorers see the massive stretch of desert awaiting them: HOT--no shade, no protection and a long way to go. The philosophical divisions between some of the group manifest themselves in physical separations. When they all reunite, trouble brews. At camp later in a village, the team temporarily irons out their differences--but again, they seem to only patch things up on the surface. After two days of trekking across the swamp, the expedition runs into a massive incline they will have to climb. Again, arguments about how to proceed develop. When the team finally makes it to the top, a fight ensues. They may have made it through that leg of the expedition, but are they together?

7-8pm -- Ice Road Truckers - Accident Alley
Another winter storm drops nearly a foot of fresh, new snow, obscuring the road south. Veteran driver Jack and the less experienced Lisa are determined to not lose any more time or money this season. They set out for Fairbanks before the snowplows even arrive. Further north on the haul road, that same blizzard causes a major collision near the icy hill called "Slope Mountain." Tow truck driver Ben Krsykowski carefully pulls a truck cab and trailer back up on the road--knowing that the slightest spark could set off a massive explosion. Canadian ice road truckers Hugh and Alex try to complete their first solo runs. Hugh is ahead in this race--he reached Deadhorse the day before--while Alex continues to have mechanical problems. After safely reaching Fairbanks, Jack takes off again with a towering pipe rack--a load that barely clears the traffic lights in town. Finally reaching his destination with this precarious freight--he has a close encounter with a 1,100-pound moose.

Lisa also braves the weather so she can see her husband in Prudhoe Bay, but gets stopped at Coldfoot because the road north is closed. Hugh departs Prudhoe heading south with his convoy partner Phil. Despite a cloud of ice fog, they make it through the worst of the storm and celebrate at the top of Atigun Pass by barbequing in the snow and cooking up a feast of caribou. Several hours behind Hugh, veteran driver but newcomer to the roads of Northern Alaska, Alex is also heading south with veteran driver Jack. Jack's displeasure with the "rookie's" mistakes forces Alex to make the trip to Coldfoot alone.

Spirits are on the upswing as the expedition starts its trek to the Malagarasi. The group reaches an abandoned village where they reluctantly set up camp near croc-infested waters (they would learn that the village was abandoned because crocs attacked the children). Pasquale and Benedict find themselves getting along, while Kevin grows frustrated. The next day, Pasquale wants to get moving early because thunderstorms and danger loom on the horizon. They make their way to their next campsite, where a night of chatting leads the explorers to open up about their pasts and gives them a better perspective on their fellow expedition mates. The next day, they will begin the final trek toward Ujiji. They must say goodbye to the porters who have helped them come this far. But now that they're traveling alone, the rains come.
11:02-12am -- Expedition Africa: 08 - The Final Chapter
As the team waits out the heavy rains, the explorers recognize that, above all else, they want to make it to Ujiji as a cohesive unit. They work together to bury and resolve their differences. Benedict and Pasquale canoe together down the Malagarasi toward Lake Tanganyika as a symbol of this cohesive spirit. Lake Tanganyika's currents and waves offer a not-so-friendly greeting, and they switch from canoes to small sailboats. Kevin and Benedict's sail breaks, leaving them far behind and fearful they won't find camp as the sun sets. Finally at camp, all realize they cannot lose focus this close to the finish. Kevin and Benedict's troubles continue the next day when boat issues cause them to fall far behind again, but this time, the team pledges to stick together. The explorers spot Ujiji, but the final stretch proves more daunting than they had imagined.

7-8pm -- Ice Road Truckers - Wicked Weather
The race is on to make it to Prudhoe before a wicked storm turns fierce. After riding out the previous night's storm in Coldfoot, Tim and George decide to push on, despite the dire forecast. Twenty-five miles from Deadhorse, they run straight into the storm and are forced to slam through huge snowdrifts to make it to safety. Lisa also braves the weather so she can see her husband in Prudhoe Bay, but gets stopped at Coldfoot because the road north is closed. Hugh departs Prudhoe heading south with his convoy partner Phil. Despite a cloud of ice fog, they make it through the worst of the storm and celebrate at the top of Atigun Pass by barbequing in the snow and cooking up a feast of caribou. Several hours behind Hugh, veteran driver but newcomer to the roads of Northern Alaska, Alex is also heading south with veteran driver Jack. Jack's displeasure with the "rookie's" mistakes forces Alex to make the trip to Coldfoot alone.

Hugh and Phil have been doing short turns all week to get storm-delayed freight from Coldfoot to Deadhorse. On today's trip, Hugh discovers that he and Alex are not the only fierce competitors on the ice road. Phil is battling with his nemesis at Carlile, Drew---they get into a heated debate on the CB about who has the most trips this month. Since Hugh's logs are same as Phil's, he thinks they will win this one. Tim and George are delayed again in Fairbanks because George's truck is in the shop. But when they finally get on the road, it's Tim's truck that develops a fatal electrical problem. The rookie is severely disappointed and has to turn back again while George carries on north by himself.

The slow but brutal slugfest in Lorraine continues as Patton orders his men to take the heavily fortified city of Metz. The thick forts that surround the city and the castle-like walls around Metz prove to be more than a match for American armor, and the siege goes on for weeks. Ammunition supplies run so low that Patton's men resort to using captured German shells. After commencing the largest artillery barrage in Third Army's history, the Americans finally subdue the city's defenders on November 21st.

8-9pm -- MonsterQuest - Mutant Canines
Something strange is killing Fido. In 2006, a number of pets were killed in Maine and Minnesota by a beast locals describe as a mutant--one of these creatures was hit by a car. The body of this strange looking creature will be DNA tested to see what it really is. Two expeditions will be launched to trap other dog killers still at large. One-part history, one-part science and one part monster, discover the truth behind legendary monsters.
9-10pm -- MonsterQuest - Terror From the Sky
Across North America there is something strange and frightening circling overhead. Witnesses tell of human-like creatures that float or hover in the skies and often descend to attack. Legends and folklore tell of strange flying creatures, but in the 1940s and 1950s, strange humanoid forms were spotted above small towns, bringing waves of panic. Sceptics claim that misidentification explains these creatures, however the mounting evidence says otherwise. MonsterQuest will analyze the video proof of this monster while scientists work to discover the identity of an eerie corpse that may unlock the mystery of these flying humanoid monsters.
10-11pm -- Ice Road Truckers - Turn and Burn
With just three weeks to go, everyone is pushing it to the limit to get the freight to Deadhorse before the season ends. Lisa rushes to Carlile to pick up her next load. She's convoying north with Jack Jesse. On the road, he shows her how to avoid spinning out by shifting gears. Hugh and Phil have been doing short turns all week to get storm-delayed freight from Coldfoot to Deadhorse. On today's trip, Hugh discovers that he and Alex are not the only fierce competitors on the ice road. Phil is battling with his nemesis at Carlile, Drew---they get into a heated debate on the CB about who has the most trips this month. Since Hugh's logs are same as Phil's, he thinks they will win this one. Tim and George are delayed again in Fairbanks because George's truck is in the shop. But when they finally get on the road, it's Tim's truck that develops a fatal electrical problem. The rookie is severely disappointed and has to turn back again while George carries on north by himself.

Corey gets into deep water with his dad and "The Old Man" when he buys a 1984 Chris Craft boat without first testing it out. Will he bounce back and make a profit or see his investment sink? Then, an old timer brings Rick an 1849 colt revolver that he forgot to unload! Will Rick add this antique weapon to his pawn shop arsenal, or will the sale backfire? Finally, the Pawn Stars get a chance to buy an incredibly rare 1954 Gretch Guitar previously owned by Robert Duvall.
10:30-11pm -- Pawn Stars - Knights in Fake Armor?
It's clear that this is no ordinary pawn shop as the Pawn Stars wheel and deal items ranging from an old school Pac-Man to a Medieval Jousting Helmet. If these items are as real as their owner's say they are--they could be worth up to $30,000! Then, an old timer brings in a pristine 1884 Trap Door rifle that the guys buy hoping that it still fires. But, when the gun range owner says that simply firing it could cause a "catastrophic malfunction" the guys decide it's time to bring out their human guinea pig.

7-8pm -- Modern Marvels - Strange Weapons
Modern arsenals have become much more sophisticated than bullets and bombs. Discover microwave-like rays that make the enemy flee when they feel the heat and laser weapons, mounted on trucks and airplanes that can blow missiles out of the sky. Some of the newest non-lethal weapons include a B.B. machine gun that can fire 150 pain-causing pellets a second and a flashing device nicknamed "the pukelight" that may make you lose your lunch. Finally examine ancient weapons that include a cutlery set containing hidden pistols and Ninja hand claws that would put the X-Men's Wolverine to shame.
9-10pm -- Lock N' Load with R. Lee Ermey - Machine Guns
Gunny checks out the rapid fire, lead spitting destruction of the machine gun. From an authentic hand cranking 1890's Gatling Gun to one of the fastest machine guns on the planet today--the Mini Gun--Gunny rat a tat tats his way through machine gun history while high-speed photography captures the exploding targets in incredible slow motion.
10-11pm -- Lock N' Load with R. Lee Ermey - Artillery
Gunny takes a journey through the history of cannons and field artillery and shoots off everything from Revolutionary War-era cannonballs to the futuristic shells of NLOS-C -- a fully automated piece of artillery that's so new the Army's still testing it. Other featured artillery includes Civil War cannons and the Pack 75 Howitzer, a World War II cannon used in the Battle of the Bulge.
