Island of Dr. Moreau (1996)

And the people cried out with one voice,
"Maketh us a movie in which Marlon Brando can don a muumuu, false teeth, clown white make-up and a really gay bonnet. See that it also stareth Val Kilmer at his scenery-chewing best. And, yea, putteth the extras in hot, smelly animal suits and maketh you the plot absurd." And, lo, did John Frankenheimer deliver unto us The Island of Dr. Moreau. And it was good. Truly, you must see it to believe it. But you must only see it accompanied by this RiffTrax, for which Mike enlisted the talents of Kevin Murphy (Tom from MST3000), or else you WILL die.

This RiffTrax edition works with the Un-rated Directors Cut version of the movie available on DVD! There is no PAL version available (sorry, pal)

Here's how it works. If you do not already own a copy of this fine film, simply click your choice of DVD or VHS video below:
"Island of Dr. Moreau" (1996 version) availability on VHS video and on DVD and even books (though I'm not sure it works as well to read a book while listening to the MP3)
Important note: if you use the MP3 with the VHS videotape version, it may not make sense. Then again, the original movie didn't make that much sense anyway...

Now click the banner below for the RiffTrax website and get Mike's commentary on MP3 (it only costs a couple of bucks). Then play the MP3 on your favorite computer or MP3 player while you enjoy the movie, for running commentary by Mike plus the voices of Tom and Crow T. Robot. To put Mike's voice directly on the movie DVD and sell it all together would have meant buying rights to the movie and who has that kind of money? Especially after Crow lost all the money from the guys' MST3000 years to some fellow in Nigeria who promised to wire millions of dollars to Mike as soon as he got the bank account number...
