The Spell

Chapter 6

"Oh, nothing" I said hoping she would just dismiss it.

"No, really. I won't tell anybody," Laura Beth said. It seems the more we wouldn't tell her the more and more she wanted to know.

"No, I'm sorry." I said trying to make her forget about it. "You have your secrets and I have mine and this is one of the few that I can't tell you"

She sat down on the couch. I could tell she was angry. I figured it was for the better. If too many people know, someone might tell and probably end up in a mental institution. We went down to Amy's room. I put in the Monkees CD.

"That is staying in 'till we go back," I said as Words came on.

"Well, let's go now" Jesse said.

"You will find somebody else who will treat you better than Davy did," I said trying to make her feel better about the situation" I just think he is addicted to girls."

Just then Christie was on the bed. She came back.

"Why did you come back?" Jesse asked.

"I don't think I was into it, I was having fun, I would rather be here, in the real world" Christie said " You guys go back have fun, I won't tell anybody."

So we did. We said the chant and there we were on the beach. I was so happy. I went into my room put on a pair of tight pants and one of Micky's shirts. I zipped up my boots and walked out into the living room.

"OOOOHHH" Davy said under his breath.

"What?" I said while walking towards him.

"That is Micky's favorite shirt, he has never let a girl wear that shirt, does he know?" Davy said trying to keep his voice down.

"No" I said "He better not mind me wearing his shirt or we have some problems"

Just then Micky walked down stairs. He looked at me and then at Davy. He knew what he was thinking.

"That shirt looks great on you" He said while he was looking at Davy for his reaction.

Davy and I looked at each other for a moment then burst out laughing. It was then I knew that I was special to him. From them on I would always wear Micky's clothes. That night they had a gig at the Vincent Van Gogh Gogh.

"This song is for Sydney, my girl" Micky said right before "I'm a Believer" came on.

That made me melt. I had to sit down for a second before getting up and dancing. They finished up with "Pleasant Valley Sunday" which was another one of my favorite songs. We all jumped in the MonkeeMobile after the gig and decided to go out to eat. We went to the Chinese place. Peter just loves that place, especially taking food home to a dog they don't have. We all ate and then drove back home.

"Peter and I are having problems with our relationship" Amy said to me while we were changing to go to the beach.

"What?" I said not believing it; they looked so happy together.

"He is very sensitive and well I'm not that kind of person," Amy said as she grabbed her towel.

"You are so picky," I said while I pulled my white dress over my swimsuit.

"I am going home tonight," Amy said as she sat down on the bed. "I will say that I have to go back home, I will come back later. I don't know when or even if I ever will for that matter."

We walked outside and I saw Peter checking this other girl out. Amy didn't luckily. I went and sat next to Micky. He put his arm around me; I looked up at him and smiled. We watched girls flock around Davy. He just flirted with them. Jesse and Peter were sitting next to each other. They were staring into each other's eyes. Peter jumped up when Amy walked up.

"What are you doing?" Amy asked in the angriest tone I had ever heard.

"Nothing," Peter said.

"What's it to you?" Jesse said while she stood up.

"I heard you say were leaving and you were going to break up with him" Jesse called after Amy who was walking back inside`.

Amy stopped right then. She turned around slowly. Everyone was quiet. They were looking at Amy trying to figure out what she was going to do. I jumped up when I saw Amy start to run towards Jesse.

"Micky, grab her" I yelled at him.

"I'll get you" Amy screamed with such a rage.

I grabbed Jesse and pulled her towards the beach blanket. I made her sit down.

"Amy is this true?" Peter said softly.

"Yes, and I'm glad. I never want to see any of you ever again" Amy screamed as she ran into the house.

I saw a bright orange light in the house and I knew she was gone. I didn't know if she was ever coming back.

"Oh Peter, I am so sorry" I said "She told me before I cam out here, I just didn't want to hurt you"

"No, I am okay" Peter said as he sat down on the blanket next to Jesse.
