*Chapter 5*Haliey*
"Oh my gosh, what am I going to wear?"
"Oh, honey don't worry you always look good."
"Un huh, mom!, I always look horrible."
"No you don't and you know it."
"Well, should I wear this?" I asked holding up my lavender mini-skirt, a teal tank, and a sheer white knitted top.
"Yes, that would look darling. Oh wear the lace up purple ballet-type heels I bought you."
"Oh mom, it looks perfect with these shoes, thanx for suggesting it!"
"Mom we have to go or we'll be late."
"Okay I'm almost ready."
"Should I bring the cake you picked you from the bakery?" I yelled to my mother.
"Sure, but when we get there act like I made it Kay."
"Whatver"
*Chapter 6*Taylor*
"They're coming!" came Avery's cry from her room upstairs.
"I know." I told her.
I had been sitting next to the door waiting for the past half-hour, waiting for them to arrive. The doorbell rang suddenly startling me out of my thoughts about Haliey. When I opened the door and saw a smiling Haliey looking better than before. All I could do was stare. Realizing that after a minute I was still staring. Looking down and blushing. I started to stutter.
"Hel-Hello, co-come on in."
I gave them a warm smile and Haliey started to giggle.
*Hah I'm off to a good start she's laughed at me twice today, she probably thinks I'm the dumbest person on Earth.*
Looking down at the floor again, I noticed I was still in my sweaty clothes from when I was playing basketball. I looked up grinning sheepishly.
"You'll have to excuse me, I have to go change quick.
Haliey and her mom exchanged a 'look' and said 'Okay' on unison. Running up the stairs I shouted.
"The kitchen down the hall, go on in." over my shoulder and disappeared into my room.
How humiliating.
*Oh well. I better hurry before my mom says something I'll regret.*
I threw on my leather pants with my favorite maroon T-shirt, and ran downstairs into the kitchen.
"Don't you look spiffy."
"Thanks mom." I said sarcastically.
"How about if you kids go outside." my mom suggested
"Okay" we all chimed.
"I prefer young adults." my brother Isaac cut in.
"Oh, shut up Isaac."
"You shut up, Zac."
"I'll have none of this get outside" my father called out as he entered to kitchen. Isaac grumbled something as my dad started to push us out the door.
*Chapter 7*Haliey*
My mom caught me as the rest of the kids filed out.
"Haliey, I want you to introduce yourself. I told them who I was, and was really polite."
Then Taylor's mom cut in saying.
"I've heard all about you from Tay."
When we all gave her a startled look, she said.
"Oops, guess I wasn't supposed to tell ya that."
As I turned to leave my mom grabbed my arm and whispered in my ear.
"He looks good in whatever he wears, just like you, especially when he's sweaty, you picked a good one."
Blushing I leaned down and said.
"I know" and turned and walked outside.
