On Karma

I suppose that everybody has had a go at Karma, so I said to myself: "Why not create a bit of Karma by having a go at Karma?   Get it?  He-He-He!".

Well, the best definition that I found of Karma is at the homepage of Swami Sivananda, Karma Yoga - Swami Sivananda. It says nothing different from other explanations, and everybody seems to be content to read and believe. No worries! Why should I trouble myself with anything at all!? Live it to the priests, monks and charlatans!

Well, my friends, I was born under a bad star, and that star makes me pick and turn over every stone that comes across my way. I just can't help it! And that is why I want to have a go at Karma, because I don't think that they got it right!

I suppose that you are saying: "Right-e-o, you smart pants, who do you think you are?", and you would probably be wrong, because by now, you will be reacting to what I say. Just to start to prove my theory of Karma, I needed to say this, because I wanted to show you what cause and effect is (or more likely - cause and affect- or how things affect you!).

But I will talk about this a little later.

Further on, Karma is blamed on Reincarnation, which seems to be another topic that I intend to have a go at, because people should be offered alternative ways of looking at things, and nothing is sacred in my eyes (since all things are subject to change and re-evaluation). At least, that which is sacred is not available to my inquiries, since it was never born and it will thus never die.

Karma and Reincarnation is a good little article in which you can brush up on your beliefs if you so need. But you should not go past Karma - Meaning and Definition as you may feel that you have not gone all the way in this very deep process. Only after you have read all these links, including The Law of Karma, so that you have a clear understanding about what I will debate, and that should incorporate Aphorisms on Karma (Theosophical Society), and perhaps lay your eyes on an Analysis of Karma, only then you will be able to follow my line of debating. Are you ready?

Well, as you have read by now, and I hope you have not deceived yourself (as it is very easy to do - take shortcuts), you will know that Karma is supposed to mean Cause and Effect, or Action and Reaction, and everything that we do, has either an opposite reaction, or has a boomerang tendency, depends which one you believe. Some say, using a famous finding, that every action has an equal and the opposite reaction. Meaning that if you do good, people will do evil in return. See? Or, that if you do something, something else will necessarily be triggered as a result.

I say, really? Or perhaps: "No kidding!" Who are they trying to bully?

Well, psychologically speaking, because all Action begins in the psyche, in order to have such a thing as Cause and Effect, we have to have a duality in the psyche, a duality in Perception. Not only duality, but also opposites. And as I will show you, psychologically speaking, there are no opposites! There are differences, but no opposites. Theoretically speaking there are, but once you go to reality checks, there are not. So, what are reality checks? Why are we being fooled al the time?

I will try to use different approaches, as to provide different views.
