The Minorities

This is a little band history for all of those who dont know who we are...

It all start on one cold February day in 2000, when Ameya had just gone through puberty, Jason just had purchased a karaoke machine for his uncle, and found a shitty ass guitar in the trash can, and Sladek found some pots and pans. Sitting in the room of Jason, Ameya picked up the mic, and Jason picked up the guitar, and Sladek picked up the spoons and the Sellouts began. Sladek had broken all Jason’s pots and on the karaoke machine we recorded our first triple platinum record. After numerous arguments, Ameya was kicked out of the band, due to his high pitched voice, and his disturbing lyrics. Then it was Sladek and Savani, we played some Greenday songs and played a few shows. Then we needed a black kid, to fulfill the band name. Then the Minorities began. Derek was the only one in the band that could actually play his instrument. We had numerous practices with Derek and had our first really show at this kids barn with other bands from the area. After that show, we learned that we really suck and people would pay us to not play at their houses. We used the excuse that we sucked cause we didn’t have a bass player. We later picked up freshman sensation Jeff Fernandes. Jeff added the missing ingredient we needed in the first place. We practiced almost every day, and played small shows at peoples houses. The Minorities combines teenage anger and emotion, to produce a very unique sound.
This is a temporary history... more will be added later.
