Christmas has always been a very magical time of year for our family. We do lots of holiday baking and decorating (both inside the house and out) and share our home with friends and family all during the season. At last count, we had 1,675 lights inside and outside, and decorated a total of 8 trees!
As we decorated the 7 1/2 foot tree in the livingroom of my home, Chuckie rubbed his hands together and proclaimed, "I'm ready!" I asked him what he was ready for, and he quickly replied "My presents, of course!" Life through the eyes of a perpetual child.
This year is going to be rough, for our Dad will again not be able to join us. His Alzheimer's is rapidly progressing and he requires full-time nursing care now. We will, however, try to make his Christmas as bright as possible with lots of visits to his room and decorating for him too.
