Government Forces Attack Washington Protesters,
Thousands Killed

by Daniel Andrews

The nation is in shock after a preemptive strike was launched
on protesters encamped at Greenway Park and on neighboring
towns.  Thousands are reported dead and wounded.  The
government cited an early morning assault on a road blockade
as justification for their action.  Someone did pull a gun at a
blockade and shoot an officer.  But there is no evidence that
the assault was staged by the protesters or that it was even
connected to them in any way.  Medical assistance is being
thwarted by the military.  This is a nation at war with itself.  Such
an act demonstrates incontestably that, far from being empowered
in order to protect the public, our government perceives that it is
their duty to protect monied interests--and their own power base--
from the US public.  And, seeing this, we must rise up for freedom,
democracy and justice.

At 7am, the air force flew a bombing mission over Greenway Park
and nearby towns of Greenbelt and New Carrollton, which is where
the vast majority of protesters had gathered.  No one was expecting
it.  Those who were awake simply watched the jets’ approach, until
they saw the missiles.  Then all hell broke loose.  But before anything
could be done, the shells blasted into their targets.  The townspeople
were heard to say that they didn’t believe the missiles were intended
for them until several had impacted, destroying streets, homes, and
neighbors.  The military cited large concentrations of protesters in
the towns as the reason for their being targeted.  The survivors are
very bitter at discovering that they could be treated as expendable.
Everyone has lost loved ones.  Their grief is tinged with anger.  Many
are taking up arms and banding together.  The entire countryside has
galvanized against a government which has turned on them.  One
survivor from New Carrollton has been quoted as saying, “Just think
what those poor folks in the park have been through.  We have to
do something about this.  It is our duty to the living and the dead.”
While the towns were only shelled for about fifteen minutes, Greenway
Park was pulverized for a full hour.

As soon as the bombing ended, troops were sent through the area
to mop up.  Many of the survivors who had escaped a direct blast
were hemorrhaging due to the concussions of the sustained bombing.
Those few who were fortunate enough to escape injury entirely were
simply wandering through the devastated area in shock.  A few
attempted to establish some order, but the troops overtook them.
The official word is that the survivors put up a surprisingly strong
resistance, calling for a lethal response.  Other sources, however,
say that the troops were instructed to make an example of the
protesters, and to use their own discretion when dealing with
suspected terrorists.

None of the protesters were armed, but many were either shot
down or summarily executed for suspicious behavior (suspicious
behavior often amounting to nothing more than an attempt to run
and hide or resist arrest).  The many hemorrhaging and other
wounded were treated merely as obstacles in efforts to police the
area.  Most were simply left to die.  Doctors and surgeons in the
surrounding countryside organized medical relief but were not
allowed into either the towns or the park until late this evening,
by which time most of the wounded had died.  The medical teams
were quite distraught by what they did eventually find, especially
in the park.  They estimate as many as 25,000 dead, and possibly
2,000 more in the towns.  Compare that to 3,000 wounded, half
of them from the towns.

It is not the protesters who have provided a stiff resistance to the
government.  They were unarmed and thoroughly unprepared for
such an assault.  It is the natives of the surrounding countryside who
are rising up now and organizing to fight against the government
troops.  A new revolution has begun!

RISE UP! RISE UP! A GOVERNMENT WHICH TURNS AGAINST IT’S OWN
CITIZENS CANNOT BE TOLERATED! RISE UP FOR FREEDOM AND
DEMOCRACY!  RISE UP FOR LIFE AND LIVELIHOOD!  RISE UP FOR YOUR
BROTHERS AND SISTERS WHO HAVE DIED OR DISAPPEARED!  RISE UP
BEFORE YOU TOO ARE STRICKEN DOWN!
