Konnichiwa! Here's Chapter 3! Sorry if it took too long but, I had a hard time editing this one. Oh, e*mail is still good. ( That's an order! Well..not really... *-_-* )
Disclaimer: "Is this really necessary Usagi-chan? Everyone knows Sailor Moon is owned by the famous Naoko Takeuchi, anyhow."
"Nuh-uh, I own it, Rei-chan! Thbbbt!"
"No you don't! Thhhbbbbbbtt!"
"Then why's my name in the title?"
"Probably because you were the first idea Naoko had and it was necessary for her to work her way up from there, hmph!"
"Waaaahhhh! Rei, that's not true, and you know it! Waaaahhh!"
"Baka Usagi! Aghhh! Suit yourself."
*-_-*
Mamoru bolted upright from the destruction that was his bed. Fully drenched in a cold sweat, he turned his still unsteady features to the window, gaze resting on the full moon.
"No." he mouthed silently, still in utter disbelief of what he had just witnessed through his mind's eye. 'Usako!' He cried inwardly, reaching out to her to make himself certain she was still there. He relaxed slightly in the essence of her presence, then his thoughts reverted back harshly to what had haunted his night.
Light streamed through the window, playing out the features of his haggard face; he hadn't moved in hours. It was as though he was in a trance, his inner self consuming his consciousness in thought. Suddenly, he rose to his feet, walking purposefully towards the telephone setting on the adjacent wall. A shaky hand jutted out, contradicting his previously confident gait, and he called her. This was the beginning of their pain.
"Hello?" Ikuko Tsukino's voice rang over the air waves.
"Hello, is Tsukino Usagi at home?"
"Oh, yes, just a minute. USAGI!"
"Hello?" came cheerful voice of his Usako.
"Usa?"
"Mamo-chan! How are you?"
"I'm fine, but I'm not going to be able to go on a picnic with you today."
"Why not, Mamo-chan?" she asked dejectedly.
"Actually, Usagi, I don't think we should see each other anymore."
"Mamo-chan, you're not serious, are you? Mamo-chan?"
"It's for the best Usagi. Good bye."

"Mamo-chan? Mamo-chan? No!" She sobbed against the hollow tone of the phone.
And so it went for two weeks: She would occasionally dash up to him and embrace him in the street like she had countless times before, and he, being completely lost in confusion and the want of safety for his beloved Usako, would merely turn her down; discard her like some useless piece of trash. It made him furious to see her eyes become misted as she tried to hide from him the tears that so forcefully threatened her crystalline eyes; to know that it was his fault that she cried so much at night. And then it happened, one dreary, rainy night; he broke her heart.
"Usagi, I know you are down about Mamoru but now is not the time to be moping! Answer your communicator, you baka!" Usagi's surrogate mother, Luna chided in exasperation of the sorrowful girl in front of her.
"I'm sorry Luna." She mumbled, reaching for the beeping watch on her night stand.
"'Lo?"
"Usagi-chan, we need Sailor Moon right away, henshin-yo! Now!" The face of Mercury cried as blasts sounded in the background.
"Right, where are you?" She sobered, forgetting about her own troubles for the moment.
"Juuban Junior High School, and hurry!"
"I'm on my way! MOON CRYSTAL POWER...MAKE-UP!" And there, where the girl Tsukino Usagi once was, stood the Champion of Love and Justice, the pretty suited soldier, Sailor Moon.
"Sailor Moon, come on!" The black cat at her feet fussed in annoyance.
"Way ahead of you, Luna!" She cried, dashing down the street in the direction of screams that pierced through the night.
All right, I've given up on whining about how short all of my chapters are. At least this time I have some of the next chapter written. Oh, btw (by the way), this is where the story line is going to get totally screwed up. I really hope it turns out ok, and if anyone out there is interested (or if anyone is actually reading my story), I'm in dire need of an editor. Or if you don't want to be an editor, you could simply lend me a hand by contributing your ideas! (hint, hint) Anyhow, hope 'ya liked it!
