Chapter Five

Amy, Lita, Mina, and Raye were sitting in the Dining Hall, finishing the delicious brownies that Lita had fixed up after the girls left. The four mothers were all devastated. They had known for quite a while, and yet their daughters still didn’t know.

“I hate having to tell them!” Mina sighed.

Raye nodded. “I know...it’s really hard...”

“How are we ever going to tell them,” Lita said softly. “That they’re stuck as children?”

Mina hung her head. “Holly will never except the fact that once she turns 12, she’ll never get older...”

“I know they want to finally be Scouts...” Raye agreed. “But I also know Denise wants to grow up!”

“Rini’s stuck in the same situation...” Neo-Queen Serenity stepped up behind Lita. “Once she turns 12, she’s a kid forever...”

For a moment the five mothers sat silently, but whatever thoughts they had were eliminated by a loud buzzing.

“Great.” Mina stood up.

“The alarm again!” Raye sighed impatiently.

“We’ll handle, Queen Serenity,” said Lita.

“It’s probably another one of Nehelinia’s minions...” Amy shook her head. “That evil Queen my be stuck in a mirror, but she’s still determined!”

The four Scouts left Serenity standing, a pained expression on her face. Since she had lost her ability to transform, the Queen could no longer join her friends in battle.

“Mercury Crystal Power!”

“Venus Crystal Power!”

“Mars Crystal Power!”

“Jupiter Crystal Power!”

The Scouts, Jupiter, Venus, Mars, and Mercury, ran towards the city. Luna’s voice rang out on their communicators.

“Scouts, look over by the park in the shopping center! There are bad energy vibes coming from over there!”

Mars nodded, keeping up her quick pace. “OK, thanks Luna!”

Jupiter frowned. “Looks like lunch is gonna be a little late...”

The communicators popped open again, and Neo-Queen Serenity’s urgent message made the warriors cry out.

“Hurry Scouts! The Princesses are at the park! They don’t have their guardians with them, either!”

The soldiers ran faster, hoping to reach their daughters before the minion did...
