"Mother! Which dress do you think I should wear?" Princess Serena asked.
"Honey, I do not know. They all look so stunning on you. What about the gold one?"
"No, Princess Mina is wearing the same color. How about this silver one?"
"Yes, that one will do very well. Why are you so worried?"
"The Princes of each planet will be here, will they not?"
"Yes dear, they will."
"I want to impress every one. You know mother, I think it is funny how each planet has a Prince and Princess, but they have never met and live on opposite sides of the planet, and aren’t related."
"Yes, fate is strange like that. Hurry now." Serena quickly put on her dress, did her hair and makeup, and went to Mercury's guest room. "Princess Ami? May I come in?"
"Yes. Do come in" They chatted for a while and soon decided it was time to join the others, and meet their future husbands. When each Princess had been seated at their throne, the introductions began, starting with the Princess of Earth, who was to join the five other Princesses on her throne. Princess Serena liked Princess Trina immediately. She looked very friendly and smart. Now, it was time for the Princes.
"Prince Andrew of the Moon."
"Prince Mike of Mars."
"Prince Darien of Earth."
"Prince Greg of Venus."
"Prince Chad of Mercury."
"Prince Kevin of Jupiter." Princess Serena quickly fell in love with the one from Jupiter. Likewise, Princess Ami fell for Venus, Princess Raye fell for Mercury, Princess Lita fell for Mars, Princess Mina fell for Moon, and Princess Trina fell for Earth. However, one of the Princes felt differently. Prince Darien did not like any of the girls, except Princess Serena. He knew she did not feel the same way, but he had to do something. At the end of the dance, everyone was engaged to someone else, except Darien, Trina, Serena, and Kevin. Serena felt she had to get to know Kevin better, before marring him. Darien claimed the same thing.
'Great. I have more time to win Serena.' Everyone was asleep in the palace, except Darien. He had to do something about Serena and he had to do it now. He took his sword from its resting place, and walked to Kevin’s room. Silently, he thrusted the sword through Kevin’s heart. Kevin was dead before he knew what happened. Realizing what he did, and that this wouldn’t change the Princess's feelings, he fell to his knees. 'Wait. The crystal! Mother was always telling me about a myth of the Silver Imperium Crystal! Maybe...' He crept into Princess Serena’s bedroom, and found the crystal on her nightstand. He raised it above her and whispered, "Silver Imperiam Crystal, do my bidding! I wish to have the love of Princess Serena, and no memory of what I did to the Prince Kevin!" Nothing happened. 'Damn. What’s wrong with this stupid thing? Of course! I cant use the Moon Crystal because I’m not from the Moon Kingdom. Prince Andrew will have to do it'. He walked briskly, but silently to the Prince’s room, held his sword to his throat. "Listen carefully. You will be dead if you don’t do what I say, got it?" Prince Andrew nodded. Darien explained his situation, and led Prince Andrew to Princess Serena’s room. " Do it."
"Silver Imperium Crystal! Do my bidding! Make Princess Serena love Prince Darien, and wipe away the memory of what he did to Prince Kevin from me and him." A silvery light engulfed the three and soon, Darien and Andrew looked at each other and then at the Princess.
"Uh, what are we doing here?"
"Sleep walking, I guess. See you in the morning Andrew. Oh, why don’t we keep this a secret?"
"Yeah, sure."
"See ya." Darien walked away, thinking that a part of him had been ripped out. The Crystal had worked, though. Darien still loved Serena, but in his mind, he hadn't killed Kevin. In the morning, the other two marriages were to be announced, but Serena was having second thoughts.
" Mother, I do not love Kevin."
"What, dear? Than who-"
"I love the Prince of Earth. My heart aches for him. What shall I do?"
"Queen Serenity, Princess Serena. We have horrible news. The Prince of Jupiter, Kevin, was murdered last night in his chambers. He was found by the Princess of Venus." A guard called, from the doorway. Serena fell to her knees. All though she did not love him anymore, Kevin still had a place in her heart.
"Mother. I will be asked to-"
"I will take care of it, dear." Queen Serenity called a meeting of the whole court. When everything was explained, including Princess Serena’s true love, the first to speak was Princess Trina.
"I really don’t care if you do love him, witch! He is mine! It was you who killed Kevin, so you could get to my Darien, wasn’t it?"
"No-no, I wouldn’t....I mean I couldn’t have..." Princess Serena stuttered, trying to hold back the tears. She couldn’t do it, and burst out of the room, with Darien close behind her.
"The courts are dismissed! Princess Trina, a word with you?" Queen Serenity said. She explained to the Princess that she was never again aloud on the Moon Kingdom, and this would cause great disgrace to her planet and family. She was to leave immediately. The Princess simply nodded, and did as she was told. Trina told herself that she would have revenge on the little blonde twit. Darien caught up with Princess Serena very quickly, and pulled her inside the nearest room.
"Prince Darien," she started, through tear-stained cheeks. " I truly apologize for what just happened, and I-"
"Shhh," Darien put his hand under her chin, and pulled her closer. As he looked into her eyes, he thought this is too good to be true, and pulled her close for a deep, breath-taking kiss.
