Serena was in the ICU at the hospital. She was reported ‘unconscience, but stable.' She had taken a great impact when she hit the floor. Her parents waited outside in the lobby. "Honey, I think I better call Sammy, and make sure Rini is in bed." Her mother said. She went to the nearest phone to place her call. "Sammy, dear? Is everything all right?"
"Mom! How is she?" His mother reported what they had been told. "Everything is fine, mom. Rini went upstairs a little while ago. Check back soon, ok?" Sammy was now 12 years old, which made Serena, and all the other girls, 15. Back at the temple, everyone was looking at Rini for an explanation.
"That girl, she wasn’t me. Didn’t you notice that her hair was browner than mine? I know who it was. I just cant believe it was her. We were best friends. I mean, before I left we still were. I just don’t under-"
"Who was that?" Lita asked. Rini looked at everyone.
"You guys better sit down. This is a long story. Her name is Triny. Its short for Tranquillity. Her mother and mine were the best of friends. Her mother is Princess of Earth, or was anyway."
"But I was the Prince. How can that be?" Darien looked at Rini.
"She was, and still is your sister. You just haven’t seen her for a while The Princess probably went by-."
"Trina..." everyone turned to Darien. "Did I say something?"
"Darien, do you remember having a sister, before the accident?" Raye asked. Darien’s family had been in an epic car crash, where as far as he could remember, he was the only survivor.
"No, I-wait, I do, sort of." Darien trailed off, deep in thought.
"Back to the fire!" Raye shouted.
"Can I finish my story?" All eyes turned to Rini once again. "Thank you. In the picture was her daughter. Our worlds have lived in peace for centuries, so I can’t understand why she would do this. Uh, the end?" Everyone got up to do another fire reading. This one gave everyone hope. Trina was alive.
"Well, at least we know she exists. But how do we know she is our friend?" Mina asked. Ami answered her,
"We don’t. But I think we should re-group tomorrow. I want to see Serena." Everyone nodded in agreement. Getting to the hospital, however, proved to be much more difficult than expected. A herd of people came in their direction, running and screaming, 'Monster.' All the Scouts got a sudden adrenaline rush, and ran into an ally to transform. "Mercury Star Power!"
"Mars Star Power!"
"Jupiter Star Power!"
"Venus Star Power!" Everyone waited for Darien to transform. "Rini, stay here." Mina instructed.
"No! I want to help!" All of a sudden, her crescent moon symbol lit up and Serena’s locket spun around her. She opened her eyes and yelled, “Chibi Moon Power!” Serena’s locket split in two, one flying around Rini, and the other landing softly on the ground, which Darien picked up. When everything was done, standing before them with a yellow sailor suit with a white body suit, was Chibi Moon. "Well, what are we waiting for? Lets go!" The Scouts ran in the direction of the noise. "Uh, I just thought of a problem, Mars".
”What’s that?"
"I don’t know any of my powers."
"Look into your heart. You will know what they are when you need to." The Scouts stopped and looked at what they were up against. It was a huge tree with a woman’s head, arms, and legs. She was shooting what looked like Robins eggs, except they exploded on impact. Also, razor sharp twigs and branches were a danger. Chibi Moon stepped up. She took a breath, while all the other scouts looked on, and recited,
"I am Chibi Moon! And with me are the Sailor Scouts! We fight for love and justice, and in the name of the moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus, we will punish you!"
"Oh really? Well, I am Treeablade, and I fear no one!" She started to shoot the razors at the Scouts. One cut Mars in the leg, and she collapsed. She threw a egg bomb and hit Mercury right in the face. She fell to the ground, unconscience. This made Chibi Moon very very mad.
"Chibi Tiara Magic!" She through her tiara at the monster, which slowed it down.
”You’re going to need more than that" Treeablade kept firing eggs, and one of them hit Venus in her arm. She too collapsed.
”That’s it! You are so dust!" Chibi Moon started spinning, while a pink mist formed around her, and eventually came into a ball around her hands. She formed the ball into a energy heart, and yelled, "Chibi Sugar Heart Attack!" This, well, dusted the monster. She stood back, amazed at her strength. Suddenly, a figure shouted from above,
"Princess, I would be careful, and back off if I were you! You don’t know what your dealing with!"
"We are not afraid!" Chibi Moon didn’t get the whole sentence out before the figure disappeared.
"Uh, Rini. How did it know you were a Princess?" Jupiter asked, as she helped Mercury up. Chibi Moon was helping Mars up, and Tuxedo Mask was helping Venus.
"I don’t know." Chibi Moon sighed.
"Did it look familiar?" Venus asked.
"No, not at all. Uh, I don’t think you guys should come to the hospital tonight," Chibi Moon said, looking at her friends. They agreed that only Jupiter, Tuxedo Mask and Chibi Moon would go. Venus, being the least hurt out of the other three helped them home. Jupiter and Tuxedo Mask de-transformed, and looked at Chibi Moon to follow. She pressed the jewel on her tiara, and was transformed back into her school uniform. "I just thought of a problem. I am supposed to be sleeping, and if Aunt Helen sees me up, I would be in trouble. I think I should go home, too." Rini turned around.
"Hey, I don’t want you going alone". Darien said.
"I’ll be fine. You go on, ok?" She walked away leaving Lita and Darien to see Serena.
"Well, I guess we go to the hospital, huh?" Lita asked, and Darien nodded. It was a short walk from where they were, so they arrived in no time. "What floor is the ICU on?" Lita asked the receptionist.
"You family of anyone?" Lita started to say no, but Darien stopped her.
"Yes."
"Of who?"
"A Serena-"
"You don’t look like her".
"We are, um, step-siblings," Lita said.
"All right. Floor 3, room 341."
"Thanks!" Darien and Lita said at the same time. When they got into the elevator, Darien said to Lita, " Nice save." When they arrived, once again they heard screams. Both rolled their eyes and transformed. They ran to the screams, and found it to be very close to Serena’s room. 'Oh no.' Darien said to himself. Her parents had been injured, but not badly. "It’s Serena, I can feel it! Come on!"
They rushed into her room, to find a huge poisonous Fly Trap standing over Serena.
"Oh great, the Calgary! I am Po-trap! Stand down!"
"Never! Let go of my friend!" Lita shouted.
"Too late!" And in one easy swoop, the monster had Serena and leapt out the window.
"Now what?" Lita looked at Darien.
On the other side of town, Rini was halfway to her house, when she heard something behind her. "Who’s there?" She yelled.
"Tsk tsk. Now Princess, do you really want to know?" The figure showed itself, and Rini exclaimed,
”It’s you! You’re the one that sent that monster!"
"Yes, and I have a favor. Come quietly." Too late. Rini had taken out her locket and shouted,
"Chibi Moon Power!"
"Why did you have to choose the hard way?" Chibi Moon could tell the figure was a male, about 19 in age. "Pressure Ball Seek, not Distroy." A black ball flew from his hands and engulfed her. She tried to scream, but he yelled, "Squeeze,” and soon there was no more air left to breath. Chibi Moon fainted inside the ball. “Good. That was easy. I wonder if my minion got the Queen?" With a wave of his hand, a portal opened which he stepped through, followed by the ball.
"Ahh.." Tuxedo Mask feel to his knees about the time Rini transformed.
”What’s the matter?" Sailor Jupiter asked.
"It couldn’t be Serena. She’s.....gone. It must be-"
"Rini!" Sailor Jupiter started to the stairs when Tuxedo Mask caught her arm.
"This way." He went to a window and jumped to the edge.
"No way! That’s crazy!" He pulled her arm, and holding on to her, jumped. When he landed, he looked at Jupiter, and smiled.
"A wittle afwaid, Jupiwhoopy?" She was holding on to him tighter than she had ever held onto anything in her life.
"I, uh. Shut up! We have to find Rini"! They ran off in opposite directions.
Chibi Moon awoke to find herself still in her uniform. She looked around her. She was in a cell, but next to her was her mother. Or so she thought. Then she realized it was Serena. "Serena? Are you ok?" She got no answer. " Serena?"
"Ooohhh..." Chibi Moon crawled over to the bars that divided her and Serena’s cell.
"Serena?"
"Ri-Rini?" Serena looked up. "Is that you?" Chibi Moon looked at herself.
"Oh yeah. I am Chibi Moon. Pretty cool, huh?" Serena smiled.
"Do you have my locket?"
"No. Darien took it." Chibi Moon de-transformed. She told Serena of the oil and about all the sudden monster appearances. "What do you think of that?"
"Hmmm. Well, you say the oil was put there on purpose? We aren’t dealing with the Nega Verse, I don't think. They never really harmed us like that, only in battle. But I really don’t know."
"Also, Princess Trina made an, er, appearance in Raye’s fire."
Who’s’ Trina?"
"Oh, well..." Rini told Serena about Trina. "Do you remember a Princess Earth, back on the Moon Kingdom?"
"Princess Earth? No. Well, actually, there was a fairy tale that my mother used to tell me, explaining why there was no Scout of Earth. It says-"
"So glad to see you awake, love." The figure that had stolen Rini was now in front of Serena’s cell.
"Love?" Serena got up to her feet. "What do you mean by that?"
"Oh, my darling. If you only knew the truth. Prince Darien is not meant to be yours! You are meant for me!"
"What are you talking about?" Serena was getting very angry.
"May I tell my story?"
"I won’t believe it, but if you want to waste your breath and time, go ahead."
"It all started on the Moon Kingdom, around the time of the Silver Millennium. You, I believe was
about 15 years old...."
