As the scepter dropped from her hands Serena knelt to the ground exhausted knowing her friends were gone and that Darien was gone also. Her eyes brimmed with tears as she made a wish. “ Mother! If you are listening please grant me this one wish! Please let Darien, and my friends return as if nothing ever happened. Please let me be a normal girl!”
Suddenly a bright light filled the air and a voice floated down to her beloved daughter. “My daughter. Your wish will be granted but, realize if you are need Luna will revive you.”
“My mother, I know this.”
“There will be another set back though…..you will not remember each other, and you will have no memory of your moments together or your friendship, or even your final battle.”
A gasp was heard and Serena felt arms go around her, as her mother stroked her hair and whispered, “Think of this my daughter, are you willing to give up yourself for them?”
Turning to face her Mother Serena stuck her chin forward in the stubborn movement well known to Serenity. Smiling Serenity looked down at her daughter and knew she would. “As you wish my daughter, I knew you would make the right choice. I am so proud of you!”
With a final embrace, Serenity took her crystal and held it up striking her daughter and the souls of Jupiter, Venus, Mars, and Mercury. And then casting it farther to shine down upon the Prince of Earth. With one final tear Serena smiled and waited for the light to work.
“ OHHHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOO I’m gonna be sooooooooooo late!” 16year old Serena Tsukino yelped as she jumped out of bed scaring the black cat off the edge and dashing madly to her closet. “ Why didn’t my alarm go off?” Serena mumbled as she threw on her school uniform and bounded down the stairs grabbing her lunch and was out the door running full speed to school, knowing she was going to be late. “ Great, detention..Again” Serena was so involved with running and mumbling to herself that she failed to notice a handsome 18year old man coming the opposite way.

“ oh no , I’m sooo sorry! I’m sooo…..” Serena words tapered off as she stared into the most beautiful eyes she had ever seen. They were a captivating midnight blue that at the moment had storm clouds growing in them, yet sorrow was lurking there and such despair.
“Can’t you watch where you are going???” the young man yelled. “Geez, you’d think the world was coming to an end.”
“ Hey I said I was sorry didn’t I, It’s not my fault you got in MY way!” Serena retorted thinking about how big of a jerk he must be * but, oh what a handsome jerk * stop that! She told herself and concentrated on how mad she was that he talked like that to her.
“ Yeah well, what do you mean you were in my way? I think you were in my!” Darien Shield said to the young girl that stood in front of him defiantly looking him in the eyes. Even though she had the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen, Clear and blue like the sky, and hair like spun gold even though it was up in the weirdest style he had ever seen. Like two meatballs with hair hanging down to her knees, “ I wonder how long it is when it’s down? Stop that!” He said to himself.
“Well, I think I am right, just because I said so!” Serena turned on her heel and was about three steps away when she realized that she was late for school. Turning around and looking at her watch, and seeing it was 8:35a.m. she screeched and took off back the way she had to go and BAM!!!
Right back into the guy she had just hit a minute ago only this time he was half balanced because he had been turning around when Serena once again plowed into him.
Falling down Serena realized this was going to hurt and braced herself for the impact. As the concrete loomed in front of her Serena shut her eyes tightly. Instead a second later she felt strong arms grab her and something land underneath her. Risking a peek from one eye, she found herself staring into those eyes for a second time that day. This time they were mere inches from Serena’s wide startled blue and instead of being mad she saw something she and felt in her heart speed up.
As Darien stared at the girl who had just said what did and then turned away from him. Him of all people Darien Chiba, lover boy of the Campus Turning around Darien realized he had to get to his class and that was the other way. Once more turning Darien felt another explosion and gained his balance just as he saw the girl was going to hit the concrete and instantly grabbed her slender waist and threw him self down twisting her so she’d be on top out of harm. When they hit the breath was struck from his lungs and he lay there drawing in a lung full of air, his arm tight, almost possessive, around the girls’ slender waist. Glancing up his gaze met those blue eyes that looked worriedly at him and lost himself in them.
As Serena tried looked down but, his gaze caught hers and she felt herself drift into a dream filled with dancing ladies and a Queen, with her as a princess, dancing with this beautiful stranger dressed in a tux, and smiling down at her adoringly.
Lowering her head to Darien’s chest Darien closed his eyes inhaling the scent of her hair lost in a daydream where he was a prince dancing with this beautiful princess with eyes like the sky staring down at her adoringly.
“Hey!! Can’t you go home?? This isn’t your private place to do that kind of thing! There are little kids about!” A voice yelled at Darien as he realized he was still holding on to girl and had slipped into a daydream. Releasing her Darien tried to stand up but, couldn’t so he tried shaking her shoulder lightly. He was amazed when he heard a small snore escape her lips and instead of moving she snuggled down closer into him. Glancing at his watch Darien opened his eyes in disbelief and realized it was 9:30a.m. Shrugging his shoulders Darien’s gripped the girl in his arms and headed off for his apartment knowing that both were too late to go to school. As he carried her, Serena cuddled deeper into the curve of his arm and a small smile crept over her lips. Glancing down, Darien felt his heart beat a little faster and smiled at the picture he knew they make. An 18-year-old man carrying his beloved while she slept.
In her dreams Serena danced with the mysterious stranger, snuggling deeper into his embrace as he whirled her around the floor to a love song that seemed meant for them.
As the song ended, Serena gave her mystery man the strangest look and said, "Do I know you from somewhere?”
Her mysterious stranger glanced down at her and said, “ My Princess you know me as a dream, as I know you as one.”
With a bow they parted and Serena looked startled as her handsome mystery man walked away. Glancing to the Queen, her mother, Serena took off after him. As he moved farther away from the crowd and out into the garden Serena caught sight of him, glancing out at the roses that grew there. As He leaned over to smell the roses Serena crept beside him and cautiously put a hand to his sleeve.
As Darien grabbed the doorknob to his apartment he heard the girl sigh and snuggle down to his shoulder. Grinning like a lovesick guy, Darien mentally smacked himself knowing he didn’t even know her name. Approaching the couch to set her down Darien suddenly tripped and sent himself and the girl, once more, flying through the air. Darien twisted to make sure the girl was OK, but when he landed on the couch he hit his head on the armrest, his last thought was at least the girl was OK. Grabbing her waist to ensure she wouldn’t fall Darien gave away to the numbing pain as darkness closed in. As Darien moved away from his Princess he tried to forget her eyes and the beauty she radiated. Moving toward the gardens Darien saw the roses and approached them. Slowly lower his head to the flowers he feels a slight touch on his wrist. Spinning at the feel and suddenly swinging towards the intruder. As his hand feel soft hair and sees blue eyes Darien spins and miss hitting his Princess by mere inches. When he turns around he finds her standing straight fist at her side and eyes clenched waiting for the blow to fall. Grinning impishly Darien grabbed her by the waist and swung her around and pulled her close and was surprised at how right it felt.
A screech of delight was release from Serena’s lips as she felt grow lighter instead of getting hit. “Wee!” Serena whooped and felt herself be drawn to a heavily muscled chest. Sighing Serena closed her eyes, and sighed with contentment. Slowly she felt herself being drawn away from where she knew she should be but the pull was too incessant. Slowly Serena opened her real eyes and met with complete blackness and realized she was looking at his shirt. Startled she tried to rise but found an arm around her waist instead. Smiling at how right this felt Serena stared at the still form underneath her and started to study his featured. He was handsome, he had a chiseled face and a high forehead. His dark hair hung down into his face and threatened to get into his eyes (which she remembered were a starling blue). Brushing his hair away in a practiced gesture the young man opened his eyes and stared into her eyes as she dropped her hand.
Darien was dreaming as he hugged his princess, smelling her hair and loving the feel of her against him. Suddenly the urge to wake up pulled at him and he opened his real eye to find the girl sweeping the hair out of his eyes and stared into her blue eyes lost in them.
“ Hello, who are you?” She asked quietly.
