Serena marched back to her castle, drenched to the bone. She pounded on the door.
"Let me in!" she shouted. Then Mina opened the door. "What happened to you?" Mina asked her.
"It was wonderful!" Serena said happily.
"Oh, you horrible person, you are. You broke a man's heart and you think it's wonderful? No shame at all. No remorse!'" Mina said. Serena started shaking her head. "No, no, no, Mina!" she began. "You see. I didn't tell him."
"You didn't? Then what on Earth have you been doing?"
"Oh, lots of things." Serena said with a smile.
"Serena, I see a look in your eyes that I've never seen before. Tell me what happened." Mina insisted.
After Serena told her about the boat ride, Mina said, "Holy canoly! Serena, you've got to see him again."
"No way! Besides, he's leaving soon." Mina frowned. It had been a long time since she'd seen her sister so happy like this. Actually, she had never seen her so happy. Her blue eyes glowed with joy.
Endymion wondered what the princess was doing this very minute. Just then he thought of something that might win her. He rushed to find his best suit and ordered for some freshly cut roses. As he was fixing his tuxedo a knock came at his door.
It was his faithful servant, Michel. Endymion welcomed him in.
"Master Darien...I" Michel began. "Shushush!" Endymion said. "My name is not Darien. It is Endymion...and I'm a prince."
"And these people believe you?" Michel asked in astonishment.
"Yes." Endymion said.
"Okay. Whatever. Whatever." Michel said sarcastically still not believing him.
Michel briefly told his master why he was here. "We've been worried about you. You_have_been gone for a long time." MIchel stated.
"Oh, things are wonderful, here. Michel." Endymion began then asked him. "Did you bring your violin?"
"Yes, I always do. Why?" Michel asked with a very puzzled look.
"I'll explain later on the way." Endymion answered.
Endymion began to tell him of the beautiful princess he fell for. He told him of how they met, and how she was engaged to Andrew.
"Engaged?" Michel asked. "Then what are we do doing here?" Michel said pointing at the window alone where the princess slept. They were now at the castle where Serena stayed hiding behind some bushes.
"She doesn't love him." Endymion answered.
"And how do you know that? Did she perchance tell you so?" Michel asked sarcastically.
"I just...I just know somehow. I mean I don't really know. I just feel like I know." Endymion said.
Michel began to walk away, but Endymion grabbed his collar and yanked him back. Michel was struggeling free when Endymion said, "Please, Michel. I"ve never met anyone like her. I want to show her how I feel." Endymion said.
Michel stopped struggeling and looked at Endymion. "He's in love." Michel thought to himself. Michel sighed and said, "Hand me the bow."
Endymion thanked him, but Michel raised a finger and said, "Just one song, alright. Just_one_song!"
"Sure. Sure. Anything you like." Endymion said reassuringly.
Then Michel cleared his throat and began to play a romantic ballad.
(Okay, don't laugh at me, but the song that comes to my mind that they should play is: Close to You. ::Just don't ask:: I love old songs)
The light of the room turned on, and Princess Serena opened the window.
"Are you crazy?" she said to Endymion in a low whisper.
Endymion only smiled and kept singing.
Mina heard the music and bursted into Serena's room.
"What's going on?" Mina asked.
Serena hushed her. Mina looked out the window and said to Serena, "Who is the guy with the violin?"
"I don't know." Serena answered. Michel looked up at the princesses. Mina caught his gaze and winked at him. It made Michel flush and quickly fixed his eyes back on his instrument.
