"I wonder if HE'S out there Lita", said Serena sighing as she looked out her window towards theMoon.
"I bet he is, you haven't probably haven't met him yet or maybe you have…", said Lita jokingly.Serena glared at her friend she knew she was talking about that jerk Darien. Sure he was hunky but,ooh, did he made her mad. "Never in my life would I even think about that jerk in that way!"She said angrily.
"Yea sure Serena", she said sarcastically.
"Well, what about your knight in shining armor, eh? Well, hmm?", Serena asked teasingly.
Lita thought about Ken, sure, like he would ever like her in that way not the way she did for him.They had been best friends since childhood and she knew he liked some else. He told her everything and any way she cherished their friendship too much to lose it. "Nah, we've known each othersince, er, forever!",She said quickly. But, Serena knew better. She knew that her friend was madly in love with Ken she could see it in her eyes whenever she talked about him. Serena was good at reading eyes. Your eyes are windows into your soul. She sighed once again. Life had been hectic lately now that she training to become a nurse. She loved helping people. She had volunteered at the Hospital since she was 14…….
"SERENA!!!!", Nurse Martha yelled. Tapping her foot she stared at the flushed face, which was15 minutes late, but she thought, she does cheer up all the patients. Still no excuse to be late though,"Care to explain why you're late?"
"It's a REALLY long story want me to tell ya?", Serena asked cheerfully.
"Ah, no just go and do your rounds, ok?", she uttered quickly.
"Oh ok some other time right?", she replied cheerfully.
"Yes, now, go along the patients are waiting, OH, also the man in room 145 has woken from his coma this morning and he's going to be alright.", said the calmed nurse.
"Oh wow! Well, got to run!", said the excited Serena. As she sped through her rounds she wonder what Darien (the patient in room 145) would be as sweet and charming as she thought he wouldbe. He was I really hunky with that strong chin, beautiful blue-black hair, and muscular build. Ohwell, she thought he's 2 years older than me so what am I thinking I don't have a chance. Then, she went into her last patient's room …Darien's. She stepped in quietly trying to see if he was awake and he was. She crept up quietly and she said, " Hello, my name's Serena I volunteer here at the hospital and you have been in a bad car accident Mr. Chiba. You were in a coma for 2 days.", she said slowly while she examined his eyes and surprisingly found a good hearted soul.
"No.", he grumbled.
" Ah, I know this must be hard for you." she said soothingly.
Wow! He thought she's a real looker. But he didn't like being formal with people. Especially herhe noticed those weird buns and thought how strange. " No it's not that, call me Darien," he said in a ruff voice while meekly smiling.
Oh wow! Serena thought maybe he likes me. "Ok, er, Darien are you feeling, ok?" she said smiling sweetly.
"Umm, not to offend you Serena but, your hairstyle looks like meatballs", he said coyly.
Serena fumed," How dare you! I volunteer to help you and all you can do is INSULT ME you. you … hog-head!"
"Hey, I was stating the truth meatball head." he fumed with anger, although she was cute when she was angry, she had zero on personality. And with that Serena starting bawling tremendously. "Ahh, please don't cry." he said remorsefully. But, she had stormed out of the room. He sighed and thought what a day.
"Wow." Lita uttered.
"Yea I actually liked the jerk once." Serena muttered.
"Well… I bet I can guess when you liked him best!" Lita said mockingly. "When he couldn't talk am I, right?" she said teasingly.
"You read my mind!" she sort of astonished. Then, they both busted out laughing.
"Earth to Darien!" said Andrew.
"Huh? What's wrong?" he replied to his roommate Andrew.
"You." he replied.
"Why are you worrying about me?" he asked with a quizzical look on his face.
Andrew sighed at his friend. He had known him since the orphanage and had befriended him quickly, then. "Well you've been staring at the moon for an hour now with starry eyes. Is somethingOR should I say someone?" he asked mockingly.
Darien knew what he meant. Andrew knew him like a book. " No one in particular." he stated frankly.
"Liar, your eyes are telling me you like someone." he said knowingly.
Drat! He thought Andrew was always right. But, he wanted to tell him so badly who it was. Ah,what the hell he thought. Maybe he could help with his plan.
"Oh my God! It's Serena isn't it?!?" he said, shocked.
Darien blushed and nodded his head 'yes'. "Now Andrew, you can't tell anyone ESPECIALLY,Mina, ok?" he asked breathlessly.
"I promise Darien but, this is a shocker. I mean you and her are constantly fighting," he said searching for an answer.
"I know but, it's hard to…" he stopped when Andrew gave him the 'I understand' look.
"So, what are you going to do?" he asked calmly.
" Honestly Andrew I don't know…."
She was silently studying when her phone rang. " Hello, Anderson residence.", she said in a tiredvoice.
"Ame's studying as usual, right?" Serena said cheerfully.
Amy smiled and thought of how boring her life had been before Serena became her friend.
"Yes, I have a final in my physics class tomorrow." Amy said.
"Well take a break and come with Lita and me to get a pizza, ok?", Serena asked excitedly.
" Yea, I could use a break from this and get something to eat.", she said happily.
"Ok, see in few." Serena said in a rush and hung up the phone.
Amy rushed and put on a pair of jeans and a blue sweatshirt. Then rushed out the door eager to take a break from studying.
"RRIINNGG.RRIINNGG. Hello?", Mina asked casually.
"Well you're home once! It's a miracle!", Serena said jokingly.
Mina knew what she meant. She had been working a full time job and been spending lots of timewith Andrew, lately.
"Yeah, long time no hear, right Serena?", she replied.
"Yep, well, me, Lita, Amy are going to get pizza wanna come?", she asked enthuisically.
"What about Raye?" Mina asked. "Did you guys get into another big fight?" she asked, cause shewas always the peacekeeper for the two.
"Nah, Raye's got a date with Chad, again!", Serena chimed.
"Gosh that's eight dates in two weeks!", Mina exclaimed.
"Yea so are you coming?", Serena asked swiftly.
"Umm yea I am really hungry for some reason, strange huh?" Mina said
"Not to me, ok then, see ya!", Serena said happily and she hung up.
Mina stood up and removed the bow and braided her hair. After she was finished she skipped outthe door.
Darien sat at the kitchen table with his head in his hands. He and Andrew had been racking their brains for the last hour trying to come with ONE good idea. But, known had came to mind, yet.
"You know what, Darien?" Andrew asked.
"No, not particularly at the moment." Darien muttered.
"Let's go get something to eat. Maybe, we'll think better full. That sound good?" he suggested.
"Yeah, I'm really hungry." Darien said clutching his stomach, which was growling. With that, they got up, got their coats and headed out the door to the Pizza parlor.<.p>
"Ok, glad you could make it Mina!" Serena said teasingly.
"Yeah, sorry about that you guys I had to fix my hair," she said hurriedly.
"That's alright, Mina. Now, let's go eat!" Serena said enthusiastically. And they all walk down the street to the nearby pizza parlor.
"Gosh it sooo, crowded." Amy exclaimed.
"Oh man now, I'm going to eat!" Serena said with a pout. Then she scanned the room to see any empty tables. She saw none. A waitress came up to the girls and said with a hurried voice," I'm ladies but it's going to be another 15 minute wait. I'm so, sorry for the incovience." With that she scooted off.
"Ok, 15 minutes isn't too long of a wait", said Lita.
"Umm, I guess so," she said sadly. After, a few minutes she couldn't take it. She was staved. "Alright I've had." she then abruptly pushed from behind by the door and fell flat onto the floor." Ow, that hurt." she managed to mutter.
He had pushed the door open and had pushed someone down. When he came through the door hewas amazed to find it was Serena. Then, realizing he helped her up and stuttered," I….I'm sooo…hmm…sorry Serena. I didn't mean…to."
"Well, it figure's Darien…" she said sourly.Then she noticed Mina and Andrew chatting. She was happy for them both. Andrew was I great guy even when he was Darien's best friend. Oh great she thought to herself, now, they had to sit with cranky ol' Darien. It' wasn't that he was the hottest man she had ever seen…no it was his personality. A total zero, zilch, notta, etc. But for the firsttime for as long as she had known him he had called her by her REAL name. Maybe, he's ill or something. Ah, like I care.
"Hey, what about you and Darien join us for dinner? Huh? What about it?" Mina asked cheerfully.
"Yeah." cheerfully Amy and Lita said in unison.
Mina looked at Serena with pleading eyes.
Serena shrugged.
Then the waitress came up and said, "Two more seats?"
"Yes, please." Mina replied.
"Alright, right this way, please." she replied frantically.
Serena walk behind them all and when she came to the table she noticed that there was only one seat left and it was beside…Darien. She sighed and sat down. Then, she flashed her friends some angry glares but, all they did was smirk. Then, they started talking about this and that…and while they were talking she would glance over to Darien and find him staring at her. Was there something wrong with her hair, make-up, or something hanging out of her nose? she thought. She looked at Lita and asked with her eyes 'Why is Darien staring at me? Is something wrong with my make-up or something?'
Lita replied ' No, but he's just staring at you like he's in a trance'
'Well, maybe he's sick or something. Ask him if he's all right.' Serena replied.
'Why do I have to? He's staring at you not me!', Lita flashed back.
'Alright! Don't have to scream.' Serena joked.
Serena turned to left and looked at Darien, which she caught him off guard which made him turnhis head abruptly.
Sheesh, Darien thought to himself she had noticed him looking at her. God did he want to just shrink into oblivion.
"Umm, what were you staring at, Darien?", she asked worriedly and quizzically.
This caught him off guard. She had never been even been slightly nice to him.Then,he relized everyone was looking at him, now. He blushed and said," I was looking at...er...that gorgeous girl over there",he said modestly and pointed to a girl all the way across the room.
Serena had only three feelings at his remark. Relief,anger,and disappointment. How dare he not notice her? she thought to herself quietly. On the other hand, why should she care what and who he's staring at, anyway. This was Darien! While, she was bickering with her feelings, Amy had noticed it in Serena's eyes.
Amy sat quietly between Mina and Lita. She wasn't paying attention very much when she noticed the passing emotions in her eyes. What could be wrong with Serena, she thought to herself. Then she saw it. She had just seen Serena give Darien a caring glance! That was impossible! Serena and Darien hated each other, though. Or didn't they?,she thought mescheivously. Then, she felt something nudge her foot and looked at Lita.
"Oops, sorry, Amy.", lita ssaid quickly. And asked with her eyes 'Ok, what happening? You see something?', she asked with a quizzical look on her face.
'Promise not tell Serena,ok?', Amy said with a willingness on her face.
'Kay! Now, spill dang it!', Lita replied inpatiently.
'Ok,ok...i noticed Serena giving Darien this warm,caring look.',Amy said sort of confused.
Lita just stared blankly at Amy. Then, smiled and was scheming already how to get the two together. This wasn't like an everday thing she thought to herself. This is about Serena for god's sakes!She is the kind of person who falls in love-true love which is only once.
Ahhhh...her mind screamed finally, she couldn't think about Darien any more Serena thought to herself. She was ask him what was really wrong with him. With that she turned to face him and opened her mouth and uttered," Darien what...", and was cut off by the waitress bringing their two pizzas.
"Alright here's your pepperoni pizza and your plain one.", the waitress said while sitting the pizzas on the table. "Sorry it so long folks but, tonite it's been really busy.", she said apolgetically.
"That's alright we understand",Lita said nicely with a warm smile. With everyone nodding with agreement.
What did she want to ask me Darien thought as he ate his pizza. Hmm oh well mayb she'll ask me again. So, he continued to eat his dinner.They all had finished their dinners when he decided to ask her what she was going to say. "Ah, Serena, what were you going to ask me earlier?", with a curious but cool tone.
Serena knew what she would of asked him. Why hadn't he been looking at her but, thanked god that she had been interupted. So she lied and said,"Umm, i don't remember now.", and turned back to Lita discussing what one of her patients had said to her.
He listened to their conversation and thought to himself that he had been one of her patients. Andhe had just woken up and she looked like an angel but, something inside him made him be mean to her. Maybe, if he hadn't teased her they could be together, right now. He daydreamed some more until Andrew was shaking him out of his daydreaming.
"Hey! Earth to Darien! We're leaving, now!", Andrew said.
"Oh, hmmm ok..", Darien said snapping out of his dreams and back to reality.
Then they all got up and stared to head towards the door but Mina pulled Andrew aside and asked," Is Darien ok? He's never spacy.", Mina asked with worried eyes.
Andrew said reasuringly," He's going to be alright I bet he's thinking about something important,that's all." God did he love Mina. She was beautiful, caring, and kind person.The most perfect woman on earth he thought. I love her soo much if any....no he thought to himself. Nothing bad willever happen to Mina, never.
Serena noticed Amy was somewhere else, so she asked, "How about you and Mina cone over and spend the night? You know slumber party?", Serena asked excitedly.
Amy had to study for her test though she thought. "Sorry Serena but, but i have to study for my final tomorrow.", Amy replied.
"Oh, ok well...How about you Mina?", Serena said and turned to her frieind.
"Yeah, unless Andrew doesn't want me to.", Mina said.
"Go ahead, Mina, you already spend all your time with me already!", he said.
"Ok i'm coming", Mina said then ,turning to her love and giving him a kiss goodbye.
Then, they all went their separate ways.
"Well, Serena looks like you are liking Darien, now?", Lita said teasingly.
Serena glared at her friend and replied, " Cranky ol' Darien? Get real!", and threw her pillow at Lita's head.
Lita caught it and stuck her tongue out in truimphly.
"You know Serena maybe, your stubborness is getting in the way of seeing the real Darien", Mina said part seriously and jokingly.
"I know you've known him for a long time Mina but, he's always teasing me so how can see the good side and plus i don't want to.", Serena said defensively.
"Well, tonite he didn't once call you meatball head.", Lita pointed out.
"Yeah, but that...", Serena started to explain.
"AND I saw you give him a caring, warm...look, Serena.", Lita stated, finally.
Mina eyes went large with shock.
Serena had shock written all over her face. Someone had actually seen her give him that look."No, I didn't.", she lied plainly.
Lita knew Serena was lying but, didn't want to push her. She turned and gave this ' Why do I bother' to Mina and shrugged.
Mina knew what Lita had meant. Serena was so stubborn she wouldn't admit it. Oh well, maybe eventually she would.
"Let's change the subject, ok?", Serena said pleadingly.
"Ok.", Lita said." So you see that hot new guy working at the mall, yet Serena?", Lita said excitedly.
"No, not yet..please do describe", Serena said and excitedly.
Serena woke and first thing she saw was a snoring Lita. God was she loud she thought to herself.She sat up and rubbed her eyes. She looked around for Mina. Not to be found. Then, she heard a toilet being flushed and saw a greenish, panick-strictened Mina step out of her bathroom.
Mina sat down next to Serena and said clamly," I think I'm dieing,, Serena."
"Why? What's wrong, Mina???", Serena said with a deeply concrened look on her face.
"Well, I can't keep anything down. It's been like this for a week and I feel really bad.", Mina saidwith painfilled eyes.
"Alright, let's get dressed and got to the doctor's office, ok Mina?", Serena asked in a reasuring voice.
"Ok Serena, you always know best.", she replied and smiling meekly. Got up and started to get dressed.
Serena turned to Lita who was snoring still and shook her till woke. When Lita opened her eyes she said ," C'mon Lita, Mina's really sick.......now, get dressed."
Lita woke right up when Serena had said Mina was really sick. " Ok I'll be ready in five minutes.", Lita said in panicked but, still sleepy voice. Then, she got up and started to change quickly.
Serena got up herself and changed and wondered what could be wrong....couldn't be the flu...maybe some stomach virus she thought to herself. Well, stepped in front of the mirror and inspected herself. She was wearing a blue jumper with a white shirt, underneath. Then, she noticed her messy hair...no time to fix it she thought so, she let her knee length hair down.
"Ok i'm ready let's go.", Lita said in a rushed voice.
"Ok." Serena said. And they started out to the Doctor's office.
"Hmm...Serena..Lita?", Mina said meekly.
"Yes?", they both said in unsion.
"Could you guys go in with me? This is so, scary for me.", said in a wavering voice.
"Why, yes, we would Mina whatever you ask.", Serena said and Lita nodding in agreement.
He had just gotten a new job at the office and was reading the charts and saw Mina's name for Dr.CoWuo. Then, he scanned the waiting room and saw a pale faced Mina, a sleepy Lita, and a concerned Serena. But, she wasn't wearing her odongos! She was stunning and with her sitting next toMina looked like her sister. Well, he headed to them and said in very concerned voice," What's wrong Mina?"
Mina looked up and saw Darien! She wondered why he was here. " I'm just sick but, why are youhere? Are you sick, too?", she said concerned.
"No, this is my new job, I got a parternship with Dr. CoWuo."
Oh god Serena thought...he's gorgeous in a Doctor's coat! Then, she noticed Lita giving her a teasing look and was about to say something when Darien said," So where are the meatballs, Serena?"
Oooh was he being mean are just curious?...she couldn't tell and just replied," I didn't have time to fix my hair today."
He liked her down..it framed her beautiful face perfectly. "Well, i like your hair down.", he said quickly. And heard one of the nurses calling him. "Well, gotta run, hope you feel better Mina,bye!", he said sincerely and rushed off.
His shocked not only Serena but, Mina and Lita, also.
Lita started to chuckle to herself. Hmmm maybe Serena and Darien were meant for each other and was her friends duty to give them a push. But, then the doctor came up.
"Ms.Richards? Come with me...", the Doctor said cheerily.
"Well, I won't be sure what's wrong, untill we run a blood test.", the Doctor said matter-of-factly.
"Ok, so when will you have the results, Doctor?", Mina said.
"Definetly tomorrow, so when you are done you can go and schedule for an apointment tommorrow.", the Doctor said and with that he left the room. Then a nurse entered with a needle in her hand.
"Ah, Serena.. Lita can you guys hold my hands.", Mina said quite scaredly.
They both got up and grabbed a hand and queezed Mina's hands in reasurence.After, it was doneboth of their hands were hurting.
"So, what are we gonna do till then you guys?", Mina asked sheepishly.
"Well, want to go see a movie or something?", Lita suggested.
"I don't know maybe, could we rent some movies and stay in?", Mina asked meekly.
"Ok, movie rental it is!", Lita said with enthuism.
Serena wasn't really paying attentions to her friends. She was thinking about what Darien had said earlier.Then, she saw him and he had spotted them and had started walking towards them.
"So, they find out what's wrong, yet?", he asked Mina with concerned eyes.
"Nah, not till tomorrow..we were just going to rent some movies and be couch potatoes.", she said jokingly.
"Sounds fun, I just got off work and...", he said trailing off.
Perfect thought Lita and then blurted out," How 'bout you join us?!?"
What was she doing? Serena thought is she planning something she pondered suspiciously.
"Yeah, that would be great! I haven't talk to in an awhile anyway, Darien.", Mina said secondingLita's idea.
Then, they were all looking at her. She shrugged and said," As long as i get to choose ONE of the movies."
"So, how about, Darien?", Lita said.
"Ahh yea, I mean me and Mina do have to catch up.", Darien said trying so, hard to mask the excitement in his voice.
"Alright then, let's hit the road", Lita said while they all filed out of the Docotor's office with Serena leaving last.
"Well, I can't believe you rented that movie,AGAIN, Serena!", Lita said with a disbelieved look on her face.
Serena didn't care what Lita was saying...she absolutely loved this movie and would watch for eternity. The werid part is that Darien had picked it up and asked if they could rent it...... cause he loved the movie, too. Strange she thought he actually might have a personality, afterall. C'mon youknow you like him a lot Serena her other side said. "Shut up", she said and slapped her head. Then, she noticed they were all looking at like she had lost it.
She was worried...was Serena losing her mind? Mina thought to herself. Mina cleared her throat and said in a very concerned voice " You ok, Serena?"
Serena met eyes with each of her friends and even Darien and they all were very concerned as she could see. She blushed fiercely and said ", Yea, I must be hungry that's all." She scurried off to the kitchen to raid the fridge and to sulk in her embrassment.
Meanwhile in living room......
"Ahh, maybe one of us should go in there...", Lita said more to Darien than Mina.
Noticing that she was it to him he nodded and headed off towards the kitchen.
Mina turned to Lita and asked feverishly," Are YOU CRAZY!??!"
Lita just smirked.
In the Kitchen......
He cleared his throat and got her attention.
She turned around and saw him...what now she thought but, her heart raced at the sight of him anyway those deep blue pools of eyes, midnight hair, tall stance.
"Umm...Serena are you ok?", he asked in a very caring and concerned voice.
She snapped out of her dreamworld and turned back to the fridge and uttered," Yeah, I just need something to eat...."
"Are you sure.."
This was it why did he care so, much anyway? She turned quickly and yelled," Why do you evencare Darien?", she didn't let him answer and continued in a rage,"I mean for the last THREE years you have anything BUT, nice to me? So, why all of a sudden Mr.Nice guy? Tell me, I'd like to hear an explanation.", and took a steady breath in, to keep her from hurting him.
He was in shock. He wasn't goning to right away say that he loved her soo he thought of an explanation, quickly. "Ahh, well...you know I don't have that many friends soo, I thought if I was nicer to you it could be a start but, I could always go back to same 'old crabby Darien'....", he was stopped short.
Aww all he wants is friends? the poor guy Serena thought.....I should be his friend....Wait have you lost your mind Serena?!? her other half thought. No go away she said to herself. "No.", Serena said sternly.
"No, what?", Darien said confused but, inside he was thinking 'YES'.
"No I don't want things to be like before... I mean I'd like to your friend, too.."Serena said looking him the eye so he could see she wasn't lying.
She was being honest he thought. She wanted to be his which disappointed him a bit but, it was astart. " Friends, then?", he said and sticking out his hand for a truce.
Serena thought ahh i have to give him a chance so, she took his hand and shook it while saying,"Friends."
Mina cleared her throat and said slyly," Am I interupting something here?"
They both blushed lightly.
Then, Serena spoke up and asked," Where is the popcorn stuff, I'm starved."
" Ahh, lemme get it you guys go ahead and start the movie.", she said.
When Serena had passed her she had sworn she had seen Mina give her a wink. Oh well, she thought I got three movies to watch and popcorn to eat.
Couple hours later....
Mina earlier had asked Serena to spend the night and Lita had remember after the second movie that she had a some major test to study for and had left early. She was having a great time with her new friend Darien and hearing stories about his past. She had been embassed by Mina when she told Darien some stories about Serena. But, all the better they were laughing all together.
"RRIINNGG!!"
"I'll get it!", Serena said cheerfully.
"Hello? Anderson residence.", she said formally.
"Ah, Serena?"
"Oh, hi Andrew here, I'll get Mina.", she said.
"MINA!", she yelled," It's Andrew!"
She came rushing like a wild cat and breathlessly said," Hey Andrew!"
"Hey Mina, what are you guys up to?", he asked.
"Well, Serena, Darien, and I had just finished watching some movies and were just telling some stories.", she said still catching her breath.
"Ah ha! So that's where Darien has been all day...spending all the time you ladys.", he said teasingly.
Mina blushed and said in a flustered voice," Well, what about you come over?"
"Yeah, I'm always happy to see you.", Andrew said lovingly.
Mina blushed even more redder and said in a warm tone," Same here, honey...see you in a few then?"
"Yep, In a few, love ya Mina!", he said enthuistically.
"I love you, too Andrew.", she said softly and they both hung up.
"Soo, Andrew's coming over?", Serena said noticing a gleam in Mina's eyes.
"Hmm hmm, oh I gotta change!", and with that she was upstairs.
Serena sighed and wondered if she was going to act that way when she was in love. She walk into to find Darien eating a bowl of ice cream. And i thought I had werid cravings she thought.
He looked up and saw her with a look of disbelif and then of humor. Oh well he thought and dug in to his ice cream.
"Andrew's coming over in a little while.", Serena said plainly.
" I figured it was from the running up the stairs.", he said.
Serena was soo, happy for Mina, if it wasn't for Darien they wouldn't be together.She scooted upon to the bar stool across from Darien and said," You know Mina and Andrew will forever be in gratitude to you.."
He had finished his ice cream and smiled and shook his head and said," No, I'm lucky to have like them really...I've known Andrew since the orphanage and Mina through the orphanage cause Mina's Mom runs it."
Poor huy she thought losing his parents at an early age and growing up in a orphanage she thought Then, the door bell rang and heard Mina yell," I got it!" And they both looked at each other andstarted laughing.
The next morning.........
Serena awoke with a smile on her face remember what had happened the night before. Becoming friends with Darien, sharing stories , pigging out on food, and watching some movies. She had a great time and today they were going to find out what was wrong with Mina and Darien was going to walk them to the office. She sat up and looked at Mina's bed...she wasn't there....she's probably sick again she thought. She got up slowly stretching...then she turned around and put on a pink and blue flowered dress which stopped a couple inches above her knee. Then, she saw her messy hair....hmm, maybe I'll wear my hair down again just cause Darien likes it that way. She smiled toher self and let her long hair down and brushed it out.
She had been up for 30 minutes now just sick. She entered her bedroom to find Serena up and already dressed, ready to go.
Serena saw Mina's figure and turned around to see her friend. She was clutching her stomach andhad a greenish tint on her face. She asked slowly," Are you going to be able to go to the doctor's office?"
Mina nodded her head slowly and said softly," I'll get dressed, I bet Darien's almost here."
"Ok, do you want me to help with your hair, though?", she said trying to be helpful.
"Yea, thanks Serena.", Mina said getting out a pair of jeans and a light yellow t-shirt and changed into them.
Meanwhile, Serena brushed out Mina's full, beautiful, blonde hair and put a red bow in her hair."Alright, all done.", she said cheerily. Mina turned around and looked at her friend and said 'thanks soo much' with her eyes.
"DING-DONG!! "
"Ready just on time.",Serena said jokingly as they walked to the front door. She opened the door to see Darien's smile.
"You two ready?",he said casually.
"Yep ready to roll!", Serena said enthuistically.
"Ahh, Serena?", Mina looked at her friend which was reading a magazine.
"Yeah Mina? What's up?",Serena asked with concern. She was worried about Mina, one minute happy, laughing, eating. And the next throwing up, fever, and fatigue. She didn't get what could bewrong with Mina.
"Serena can you come in with me...cause if it's bad news ..", Mina started to tear up.
"Don't worry, ok? I will be there, ok?", she said in a stern but, reasurring tone.
Mina smiled meekly and said," Your right! Everything is going to be alright!"
The nurse cleared her throat and said," Miss Anderson? The Doctor will see you, now."
In the examination room......
The Doctor entered the room with a folder in his hand.Mina was sitting on the table with my legs dangling over the side. The Doctor sat down with a expressionless face.
"Well, Miss Andrew's your test results are back..", and looked at the folder once, again.
"Soooo?", she asked.
"Well,.....your pregnant...", he said flatly.
