Lita Asanuma was cooking up a fury. She yelled orders to all the underlings, and tried to hide the smug feeling she got when they scampered to fulfill her every wish. This is what she had always dreamed of! Owning her own restaurant, being able to cook all that she wanted, being a celebrated chef.
"Ahem, Mrs. Asanuma?" A voice behind Lita said tentatively.
"What do you want, Asia?" Lita snapped at the Manager's secretary.
"Mr. Asanuma wishes to see you. He says it is terribly urgent." The Manager of La Parafoudre just happened to be Ken Asanuma, her husband.
Thoughts of something terrible happening to one of their children, Cassandra, Cassie for short, or KJ, short for Ken Jr., or Keith flashed through her mind.
"Tell him I'll be right there!"
Lita looked around to see who the standby chef was.
"Chanceux! Come here!"
"Yes, Madam?"
"I'm leaving you in charge until I return."
"Thank you Madam!"
Lita brushed past the happy chef, and ran to her husband's office. Bursting in, she almost yelled, "What's wrong?! Is it one of the children?"
"Shh! Cassie, Keith and KJ are just fine. Actually, it's this." Ken said, holding out a watch with a deep green band. "I figured you would know what was up with the beeping."
Lita snatched the watch from Ken, and after pressing a button and then a small green crystal, she listened.
"Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss!"
Sounds of a struggle was heard, and then the unmistakable sound of a monster's dying scream. That was all that Lita needed to hear.
Turning off the sound button, Lita turned to Ken.
"It's time. It's time to go back."
Understanding filled Ken's eyes, and he nodded.
"Leave Asia to run the restaurant?"
"Yes, and Chanceux the head chef."
Ken nodded in agreement, and the two separated to tell the lucky people.
The next day Lita, Ken, Cassie, Keith and KJ were on their way to Japan.
