Rei Kumada sat in front of the sacred fire, just thinking. Usually she only sought the fires' comfort when she had a vision, but this time, she wanted to remember in peace. It had been twenty-two years since she had seen most of her friends, and it had been just a little under twenty-two years since she had seen Serena. After everyone had agreed to split up, it was just Rei and Serena who had remained in Juuban, besides Darien, of course. The two friends had run into each other many times, and then Rei finally decided that it was up to her to leave. Although Rei loved Juuban, she knew that Serena did also, so she bowed to her princesses wishes, and Rei and her husband, Chad left.
Rei sighed. She missed Serena, a lot. Even though she gave Serena a hard time, she loved her like a sister, and thought of her as her best friend. In fact, she had named her daughter, after her, Rena. Her son, Chaz, was named after Chad.
An annoying noise tore Rei from her thoughts, and it took a few moments to realize where the noise came from.
"My watch!" Rei said with surprise. She brought her wrist up to look at it. The band was the same shade of red that Mars wore. Rei pushed the small button that turned the watch into a communicator, and then pressed the tiny red crystal, and listened.
"I am Eternal Sailor Moon! How dare you shatter the peace of earth! In the name of the moon, I will destroy you!"
"Give me your energy!"
"Never!"
Rei jumped up and ran to find Chad, missing the rest of the dialogue. It was time!
Hours later, Chad, Rei and two confused teenagers were on a train, heading back to Juuban.
