I lay in my bed, my pillow damp with tears. He had been my one of my best friends, why would he run away? He had always been the strange quiet one, but we all liked him and I had to admit I had a crush on him. We all knew he was going through a rough time what with his mother dying and him about to be sent off to his aunts', but his father needed him. Now his father was grieving for a wife and a son, he was so alone. He stopped coming to any social functions, just stayed by his wife and cried. It was all my mother could do to make him eat and remind him he was the king of earth and that he had a responsibility to protect and look after the people in his kingdom. The search for Prince Darien had been called off two weeks ago and Darien pronounced dead, but I could not bring myself to believe it. He was out there somewhere, why did he leave, would he come back? The entire Moon Kingdom was mourning the death of a prince and I still couldn't believe Darien was dead. He was so cute sometimes, he may have been quiet and he may not have noticed my feelings for him but I needed him. With him missing I felt like I was alone in the world. I knew I had my friends but it wasn't the same, I needed that sweet smile of his, that cool exterior he showed everyone. I had always been the one of us who would go over to him when he sat in a corner and talk to him. Sometimes I felt he just needed someone to be there for him, to listen to him and show him they cared about him. His mother and father loved him, but they had busy schedules like all the royalty of the universe. I missed him so much I thought I would die, I was too young to lose someone that close to me. Only 12 years old and I already had to deal with losing someone I dearly loved, it just wasn't fair, why did he leave us? I was laying there on my queen-sized bed going over the details of Darien's disappearance when I heard a knock at my door.
"Serena, are you in there?" It was Mina's voice.
"Yes, what is it Mina?"
The door opened and Mina walked into my room and came over to sit beside me on the bed. Behind her came Amy, Lita and Raye.
"You mean you forgot! How could you forget? We're going to Jupiter today for lunch silly, so pack up and let's get going. We're meeting Haruka and Adam there! Lets go!"
"OH! I'm sorry ok, lets get going then"
I grabbed my crystal transportation pen and my wallet off my dresser and ran off down the hall with the others in tow. We told my mother we were leaving and then ran off to the courtyard where we transported to an Italian restraunt on Jupiter. Haruka and Adam were waiting.

"Hey girls, what took you so long?" Adam asked
"Sorry, we had to remind meatball head here that we were coming here today" Raye told him.
"Hey! I didn't forget, It just slipped my mind for a moment" I said feigning outrage.
"Yeah right meatball head!" Raye said

We ended up rolling around the tables in the courtyard of the Italian restraunt yelling insults at each other. Haruka and Lita pulled us apart before we could do any real damage. We ate lunch together and talked about everything from court news to Darien's disappearance. We left together and decided to go to Lita's best friend Lindseys' house and invite her to go shopping with us at the mall. Lindsey was very girly, and loved to shop, she was always telling you something looked good on you and before you knew it you were standing in the checkout line waiting to buy some cute little outfit you knew you might never wear. We transported ourselves to her doorstep, and Lita rang the bell, Lindseys' mother answered the door.
"Hello girls c'mon in but be quiet we have a guest sleeping in the back room. Lindsey's in the shower and should be down in a few minutes."
"Thank you Mrs. Cunningham" said Lita. "We just wanted to see if Lindsey could come to the mall with us today."
"Its' okay with me if she wants to go. I'll be right back I have to check on the pork roast in the oven."
We were waiting in the living room chatting about what stores we wanted to visit first and in which mall, when Lindsey came down the stairs in a cute little blue tank top and embroidered shorts. She came down and we told her what we wanted to do and she said she'd love to. Before we left she asked us if her mother had told her about the little boy they'd found on their doorstep three days ago. They told her they didn't know, and she said she'd take them to see him, but they'd have to be quiet because he was sleeping. She led us to the guestroom in their house, and turned to us to signal us to be quiet. We walked into the room behind her and she gestured to the bed by the window. A small boy lay there, probably a few years older than us. He had his head wrapped in a bandage and patches all over his chest above the covers, his nose was covered with medical tape and had obviously been broken in a fall. The poor thing, I thought as Lindsey told us that he had amnesia and had no idea who he was or where he came from. I had the strangest feeling that I knew him from somewhere, oh well I though I must just be feeling sympathetic for the poor guy, it must be hard not knowing who you are. We left the house and transported to the mall, where Lindsey managed to convince me to buy three summer outfits and a pair of pajamas I would probably never wear. Then we went our separate ways and Lita, Raye, Amy and I transported ourselves back to the courtyard at my mothers' palace. I went back to my room to put away my new clothes and the other three Princesses went home to their own planets, promising to visit again in a few days.
