KNOCK! KNOCK! Taylor knocked on the door. Ash ran past her mother & up the stairs. "Ash!" her mother called to her.
"I'm not here!" Ash called down the stairs.
About ten seconds later Ash heard the front door close and foot steps on the stairs. What would she say to him? What?
Taylor had gotten to Ashley's house just as the sun was setting. He knocked on the door.
"Hello?" Ash's mother had answered the door.
"Umm, hi. Is Ash here?" asked Taylor.
"She's in here room. You can go on up if you like."
"Thanx" said Taylor as he headed up the stairs.
Taylor knocked on the door lightly.
"What!?" Ashley said in a sad, but very angry voice.
Taylor opened the door.
"Hey," Taylor said.
"Oh Hey," said Ashley wiping her eyes.
"I'm sorry I ran out, I guess I was just mad."
Ashley put down her head "Why is he mad at me?" thought Ash.
"Oh!" said Taylor seeing that Ash thought it was her, "Not you, Amanda!"
"oh, good,"
"Well like I was going to say," Taylor took a deep breath, "Ummm... Would you be my girlfriend?"
Ashley looked up at this, "you don't mean it."
"I do!"
No, No Taylor you don't, your just saying that because you don't have Amanda any more."
"No!"
"Yes Taylor Yes."
"No! We broke up because I do & always have liked you."
"Then why didn't you tell me?!"
"Why didn't you tell me?!"
There was a moment of silence. Their eyes are searched around the room & finally met.
"Taylor," Ashley said in almost a whisper.
"I'm sorry," they both said at the same time.
They both got up & hugged each other. They got closer & closer & a split moment before their lips met Ashley turned away.
"What?" Taylor asked.
"Nothing, I just.... I can't do this," Ashley ran out of the room.
"What did I do this time!!" Taylor thought to himself.
