Wildlife that has been seen and identified here at the base of the Appalachian Mountains since August 2004. This is when I moved here from Michigan. Go here to see the page of Michigan wildlife.
This nature-lover is in heaven. The property is 1-1/2 acres of mostly grass at the edge of the Cherokee National Forest. The mountains are seen in the South. On the West and South sides there is mixed deciduous and evergreen forest. North and East sides are pasture and fields. A spring-fed creek runs across the SW corner and into the forest.
