12/10/99 It seems that Icons has stopped shipping orders. I have not heard of anything going out. Customers have paid a great deal of money, and have nothing to show for it. This is as bad as gets!

The Icons IDOJ Bottle.
Icons Web Site states that shipping will be late Summer 1999. My order was placed in Oct. 1998.

This product still has never been shipped! Most likey it never will. I paid for the replica in full, now I have to fight to get my cash back.

"Stephanie" (temp. receptionist) from ICONS called me today with J2 update. She said that it was still scheduled for release as per the website. She said she had a statement from ICONS and couldn't provide other information, but she thought that J2's were produced and awaiting OK from "lawyers" re: licensing. I indicated that pretty much everyone was skeptical and all hell would break lose if October 1 arrives without J2. I implored her to put photo proof (tables of J2's for example) on the website or her phone call was meaningless. She said she'd convey the message -- no sense blasting her when she was just trying to do her job.

Hi All, That was some very encouraging news about the J2 that Jay sent in. That phone lady he mentioned is one of the better ones. I have spoken to her many times, and she does pass on messages. I know first hand that Icons is catching up on back orders, because my Terminator Endoskull #103 arrived on Tue. I am looking at it right now and the bright red LED eyeballs are staring at me. This piece in my opinion is just magnificent. The detail and the realism are top notch. I really still can`t believe that it came. After seeing another example of Icons fine work, I think that the J2 and the IDOJ Bottle will be worth the long wait. From what I have been hearing, the Terminator and the Jurasic Park replicas are being sent. This may or may not be true, I kon`t know for sure. I hear alot of stuff from emails, phone calls and letters. All from customers, distributors and from Icons

It looks like we`ll have to wait a few more weeks for the Icons Factory Tour Video. I am really looking forward to seeing the Icons factory. It will be interesting viewing how the replicas are made. I think it is a great idea, because not all of us can travel to CA. to see the factory in person.

I recieved the certificate of authenticity #001 for the Future War Human Skull. It is really cool looking, and I think it`s great that Icons has sent these out. The cetificate has a day photo of the actual future war battlefield location in Fontana, CA. It is signed by Scott Brodeen, Master Artisan Icons Fabrication & Design Group. I want to thank Ed M. and Trixie H. for calling me and promptly shipping me this certificate.

Icons is shipping Future War Human Skulls to Terminator customers. I recieved one and they are cool looking and kinda creepy. This replica is black in color and has no jaw bone, just the upper skull. It is solid and quite heavy. I had spoken with James Latta on 7/7/99 and he said that it was cast off a skull that was used in the Terminator 2 Movie. He said that it is supposed to come with a certificate. He also mentioned that he was thinking of sending out a catalog of replicas to customers who have waited a long time for their orders. I guess the customers can pick out something in the catalog as a comp for waiting so long for their orders. He said that Icons has all kinds of cool replicas, like the Future War Skull. This info is just what I heard, we`ll just have to wait and see if it comes to pass.

Talked to Al Williams today. He said that because of the political trouble in china the Jupiter2 production had to be moved to Taiwan.Just finished the deal today he said. He also said they "hope to beat" a September 15th deadline. Holy cow...they're doing it again. Jay

4/30/99 IDOJ Bottle news from Icons

This is what I was told by the old production manager... The company had put the project out to someone with connections in China but after many months of delays and set backs there was still no sign of a prototype for approval and eventually Icons found themselves back to asking for referrals of companies whose quality would be able to meet requirements. The bottle is now going to be a high quality glass or porcelain with the design computer printed on to it and yes it seems there was some difficulty matching the colors.

I heard this reason for delay way back on 2/10/99 from Jim Latta on the phone. To this day Icons is still saying this is the cause of the Jeannie Bottle delay.

From Johnnyrum I called Icons on 4/26/99 and talked to Denis this time. He said the the J2 will ship Summer 1999. No specific time frame was given. He stated that pics of the J2 interior will be on their web site in 2 weeks. Pictures have been posted! They really look great.

Denis stated that the IDOJ Bottle`s production is being held up because of a color problem. He said the wine purple color. "just isn`t right yet, and Icons won`t ship inferior products".

3/25/99 Email from Trixie...
Trixie said that a large backordered shipment of Robot Progress Reports when out last week. Robot customers should be receiving the reports this week.

I used your e-mail for Trixie and received a response the same day -- looks like LIS laser pistol might be mailed within one week. I'll keep you and your readers posted. Under product news, you might add that 2 blueprints plus J2 update #2 were mailed to customers in February. Despite all my complaints, ICONS actually did attempt to show progress with customers and this should be acknowledged as a positive nod in the right direction.

Icons Staff member Trixie emailed me on 3/20/99. She mentioned that the B9 Robots are being constucted at rate of 2 or 3 a week. Production is slow because of part vender delays.

The Icons Website states that the I Dream Of Jeannie Bottle will be shipping Spring 1999!

Spring arrived Sat. 3/20, so they should be shipping soon I hope.
Icons Website now states in the update section that there will be a Jeannie Bottle update comming soon, I hope. The Bottle showing up at my door would be better than a update! I ordered this for my wife for X-mas 1998 and she still has not received it yet.

Lost In Space Robots are shipping now!
I know of at least 14 that have been shipped. I have talked to 4 customers and they seem to like the Robot.

I was emailed from a customer info that Icons has switched from Yellow Freight to DHL for Robot shipping.
