Glacier Bay National Park is located in Alaska, near Gustavus. It is a 3 million acre park with lots of mountains, lakes, creeks, forests, beaches, and lots of amazing wildlife, like whales! Glacier Bay is a globally significant marine and terrestrial wilderness sanctuary.

Glacier Bay is a fairly new as an official National Park; after all, it has only been one for about 27 years. However, the park has been running since about 1919.

The temperature is usually reasonable in southeast Alaska. In the winter months, it rarely drops below freezing, and in summer it is about 50-60 degrees.

Although you will have to fly to Glacier Bay, because there are no roads leading to it, it is definitely worth the cost of the flight.
