Other Landscaping Services

Since its start in 2011, Thorn No More has added a variety landscaping services to its repertoire in addition to compliment the buckthorn removal. These additional types of landscaping projects are listed below, as well as various information regarding how such projects were completed.

Thorn No More has built gardens for customers in Minnesota and Wisconsin entirely out of scratch.

The first step in the process is to clear the designated area of unwanted tree and brush; herbicide can be used to prevent regrowth of the unwanted plants. Next, the proper flowers and any other wanted plants are put into place, ideally through digging a hole in the ground. A garden tarp would be secured over the area to suppress weeds. The final step would be too much the area and perform any finishing touches.

NOTE: The picture on the left was taken in Stillwater, and illustrates one type of tool we would use to clear brush in order to prep an area for planting.

Another type of landscaping project includes taking out dead or invasive plants of all sizes from cliffs. They will be placed into a pile to be burned after removal, and safety measures are taken to access the proper tools and precessions necessary for the job.

NOTE: The picture below shows the final result of a tree and plant removal project in Stillwater. Through the project a better view was created to overlook downtown Stillwater and the Saint Croix River.

Thorn No More also performs landscaping services for customers. For example, the team was contracted by a law firm in Lake Elmo to weed, mulch, and trim hedges for the firm's property. The job was effectively completed within one week of the creation of the contract.

The team has proved itself to be versatile as a business and is open and eager to accept new challenges.
