Our goal in constructing this WebQuest is for students to learn to use technology for research and to better understand the historic setting of the novel.

Students are given a choice in how they express their learning: either through writing a newspaper article or constructing a PowerPoint presentation, depending on their abilities.

It is recommended that the students read the novel in class and work on their project after school.
