A Day In The Life Of a University Lecturer
The following is a sample day taken from an interview with an university lecturer.
- 6.00 a.m - Wake up and pack my bags. I have breakfast and watch the news so I now what is current.
- 7.00 a.m. - I drive to work which takes me about one hour.
- 8.00 a.m. - I work in my office marking, preparing my lectures, organising my notes looking over my research material and preparing for my meetings.
- 9.00 a.m - Reqad my e-mails.
- 10.00 a.m - Deliver my lecture.
- 12.00 p.m - Respond to student queries and concerns.
- 1.30 p.m. - Grab a bite to eat on the run and then deliver a seminar on Chnage Management.
- 2.30 p.m. - Have an open office for students to visit and answer any questions.
- 4.00 p.m. - Deliver another seminar on Strategic Management.
- 5.00 p.m. - Respond to any e-mails before leaving home.
- 6.30 p.m. - Arrive home.
