Penguins are very different compared to other birds in many ways. The fact that they can't fly is the most well known.
Habitat:
- Habitats range from Antarctica in the south, all the way to the equator in the north.
- South America, New Zealand, Australia, and Africa support penguin populations.
- Because they can't fly, penguins live in remote areas or islands with few land predators.
- Their habitats must offer waters rich with nutrients and food.
Diet:
- Diets include krill, squid, and fish.
- Smaller penguins in the south tend to eat
- krill or squid, but northern penguins tend to eat fish.
