We are 1304 (Rudloe Manor) DF.

We are the Detached Flight of 1304 (Chippenham) Squadron. We are part of the Air Training Corps. The Air Training Corps is a youth organisation in which you can join at the age of 13 years and 3 months.

 

The Aims of the Air Training Corps are:

  • To promote and encourage among young people a practical interest in aviation and the Royal Air Force.
  • To provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life.
  • To foster the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship.

 

Our commanding officer is Warrant Officer Tiley.

Our mascot is CWO Frog (pictured in our crest).

Our Motto is Ille Impavidus Ranai.

As well as the educational side of cadet life there is a lot more that goes on, some of these things include:

Training

Your Training During your time as a cadet you will progress through a structured lesson system we call a 'Syllabus' that will teach you the basics of some aviation subjects.
Each syllabus is designed to teach you subjects relevant to both the RAF and to the ATC.
