My name is Jacinda Nicole "NIKKI" Dawson-Ramirez. I am from Biloxi, Ms and I am on a mad hunt for my family roots. I started my genealogy research in 1997 as a way to stay connected to my family and home. Military service proved to take me near and far and after 13 years I am so glad I did it. What I have learned has inspired my entire family and has given me an even greater appreciation for who I am and where I come from. I have traced my heritage in Mississippi to as far back as the early 1800's and as far away as Wales. My ancestors hail from events such as The Great Western Migration, The Saint Domingue (Haiti) Slave Revolt and the Trail of Tears.  Mississippi  and my family have a  rich history and culture that I choose to remember and celebrate.
