The Morris Worm

The Morris Worm was a virus released in 1998 by a university student by the name of Robert Morris. This particular virus affected 10% of computers that are connected to the internet, causing all computers to come to a standstill. At that specific time period, the internet was estimated to be composed of 60,000 computers.


The Concept Virus

This virus was the first to contaminate Microsoft Word Documents in 1995. The virus was by mistake shipped onto a CD-ROM that was approved  by Microsoft itself. It only took a few days for it to become the most extensive virus folks have ever stumbled upon.

This virus over saves a chip inside a computer causing it to effectively deactivate the entire computer. Every year on the 26 of April the virus sparks off celebrating the anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.


The Anna Kournikova worm

So basically this virus is consist of a picture of a tennis player by the name of Anna Kournikova, but the virus was actually scripted by Jane de Wit, an obsessed fan from Holland, Netherlands.


ILOVEYOU

This virus was a message that was designed to retrieve valuable passwords for the author and creator of the virus. In the year 2010, it inundated the net with ILOVEYOU texts that forwarded themselves to everyone in a user’s phone book.
