May 6, 2019 Dear Braylen, Wow! What an exciting time I am having. After visiting with Grandma and Uncle Bub I wound up going to a place called Cold Spring, New York where I met Aunt Lil and Uncle Vin. Aunt Lil was so excited that I came to visit her,she took me out to meet some of her amazing friends.

Vacation Pictures

The first place we went was to visit was the Cold Spring Fire Company No. 1 or Aunt Lil’s fire house. Since she is a firefighter, Aunt Lil got to show me all the cool equipment there. I even got to sit on the front of one of the trucks there with Aunt Lil’s coat and helmet. She told the truck I was on was 13-2-1. It is the fire company’s first due pumper. It is 37 ½ feet long and carries 2500 gallons of water on it.

Officer Bill

While we were there Officer Bill Bujarski from the Cold Spring Police Department stopped by. He was really nice and let me sit in the police car with him. Aunt Lil reminded that me that even though she is afirefighter she has has a lot of friends who are police officers too. They all are first responders.

EMT Godsey

The next day Aunt Lil was really busy but she found some time to visit her friend Chris Godsey at the Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance Corp. Chris is an EMT there and he show me the ambulance he drives. Chris is one of the people that goes to help people who are sick or injured and take them to the hospital if needed.

Garrison Fire Dept.

On Sunday even though it was raining really bad, Aunt Lil decided to take a ride with me and visit her friends at the Garrison Volunteer Fire Company. Since it was a Sunday the men and women there were extremely busy to doing maintenance and inventory checks on their trucks. Asst. Chief Wendy Heintz took a moment to take a picture next to one of their trucks. Aunt Lil told me the truck was 15-6-1 and it's a rescue. Rescues are the trucks in the firehouse that respond to car accidents and have what firefighters call " the Jaws of Life" on them.

Garrison Union Free School

On Monday I went to work with Aunt Lil. Did you know she worked at a school? She works at the Garrison Union Free School where there are about 220 students in grades K - 8. She has the position of school monitor which means she supervises lunch and recess. Today she was subbing in for other staff members and was all over the place. We spent time with kids in kindergarten through 5th grade. I met two of Aunt Lil's friends there too. The first was a Mr. Alex Levine he is the principal and Aunt Lil's boss. He was very nice and Aunt Lil was very thankful that he took time out of his busy day to meet me. I also met Mr. Doug Feig. Ue is the music teacher and thought it was very cute of Aunt Lil to bring me to school.

Well that is all my adventures with Aunt Lil. It was really fun and I had a great time. Aunt Lil told me how much he misses you and your brothers and sisters. She loves you all very much. She said that Uncle Vin is sending me to a place called " Ten A Sea". I wonder what it's like.

Love you lots, Flat Braylen
