Welcome to Fan Tang! (pronounced “Fhan Ton”) Fan is Chinese for “food or Cuisine” and Tang is Chinese for “room or hall for a specific purpose”. So Fan Tang is a place where friends and family gather to enjoy good food and good company. Think of Fan Tang as “Your Asian Kitchen”.
My family has been cooking Chinese food for three generations starting with my grandpa who opened “Xing Xhan” restaurant in the province of Sichuan in 1942 to 1987. My father opened up Chow’s Chinese Bistro in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1993 using many of the traditional recipes from my Grandpa’s restaurant. We believe in using high quality fresh ingredients to create a great taste experience.
We have been in the city of Albuquerque since 1999 and I opened Chow’s Asian Bistro on the West side in 2005. Our restaurants have won numerous awards including the best of Albuquerque 5 years in a row, best of Santa Fe 12 years in a row. We are excited to bring the best and most popular dishes to the Nob Hill community.
