Following our Annual General Meeting it was agreed that the following catch limits will apply to all members fishing the river Camel whether on BAA controlled waters or not.

Salmon no change.

2 salmon per day (one on the river Fowey)

4 Salmon per week (two on the river Fowey)

10 Salmon per season (five on the river Fowey)

Sea trout

                                                  6 sea trout per week

This is a departure from the 4 sea trout per day rule, it is designed for our more distant members who only get to fish our waters on a few days each year.

We also ask members to return all sea trout under 12 inches or over 20 inches IF THEY ARE LIGHTLY HOOKED AND UNDAMAGED! this is not a rule (it would be very hard to police if it was)

If you are returning a fish the less you handle it the better, the ideal way is to play the fish quickly and unhook it without handling it (a barbless hook is a great help in doing this) if you have to handle the fish please wet your hands first and keep handling to a minimum/
