Kruja is the capital city of the District of Kruja in Albania, and it's the balcony over the Adriatic Sea. Kruja is best known as the hometown of Albania's national hero, Skenderbeg, from where the Ottomans were succesfully resisted for nearly 35 years from 1443 until 1478. The castle of Kruja was succesfully defended in four seiges conducted by Ottoman forces before final capitulation shortly after the death of Albania's greatest national hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeg.
