The Car - Proton Satria

The Proton Satrias are actually Proton's 1995 rebadged production of Japanese Auto Maker, Mitsubishi's 1992 Mirage Cyborg. The Satrias are built with most of the same design concept even down to the chassis, it is similar to the Mirages, except for some newer Proton-designed trimmings,exterior frontal and rear cosmetics. However, the only let down in the Mitsubishi-to-Proton technology transfer was the powerplant technology, where Proton only receives tech-transfers of the 1.3 4G13 SOHC 12valve up to the 1.8 4G93 SOHC/DOHC 16valve. As a result, technologies like the Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing and lift Electronic Control (MIVEC), turbocharging, all-wheel drive and INVECS technologies was left behind where this became the main reason most Satria Owners resort to Mitsubishi-technology transplants when they require more power out of their rides.
