During the Fall 2000 semester I studied abroad with a group of fellow Cornell students in Rome, Italy. A friend and I lived in a very spacious apartment on Via dei Vecchiarelli, which is just across the river near Castel Sant'Angelo. Our classes were at Palazzo Lazzaroni, near Largo Argentina. In my opinion, the history professors there were some of the best teachers I ever had in college. There is a wonderful romance to the city of Rome...nice apartment, good food, good wine, pretty buildings and art...what more could you ask for!!
Although we were based in Rome, we also visited numerous places across Italy. Here are some sketches from around Rome and from travels.
